Yes, all countries have thier share of crazies but this is the difference between a crazy who has to resort to a knife vs a crazy who has 2 guns in his hands.

Gun control is a sensitive topic, Americans love flaunting guns and things wont change unless there is a change in people's attitude. Govt is pressed by public demand and the lobbies which promote it.

The laws wont become stricter any time soon and on the contrary I heard there was a talk of relaxing the controls a year ago but I dont see that happening either

The American constitution has to change in order to curb part of the gun problem.
In regards to the constitution that is a very delicate touchy issue.
Any administration that ventures down that road will be committing political suicide.

Gun lobbyists are too strong in this country for anything to be done. The governments no action policy doesnt help either.

Its about time people realize that the 2nd amendment needs to take a back seat because people's right to life is much greater than their right to arms.

I mean just look at the numbers of countries that have strict gun control and you get your damn answer. US has some of the most lenient gun laws on this planet. How can anyone argue to make them less strict when they are practically non-existent.

No one dares to touch the issue and Obama is doesn't have the numbers in senate too. Constitutional amendments wont happen and this is not the first time that such thing has happened though the causalities are on a higher side, things will be swept under the carpet soon.

How can anyone can possess a gun without any background check...this is absolutely unacceptable...any psycho person can possess a gun...
