I finally saw today's NBT as well.
LMAO @ Guru and the whole MG moment. 🤣 especially his EPIC impromptu dancing gig. lol🤣🤣

@MN moment-- Adorable as always. can never get over these two.

@Megha making up her mind about the job so soon-- yeah it seemed a bit contrived. eh...i'm just glad that they didn't drag it or make it too melodramatic.

Apurva Agnihotri to essay D.C in Aasman Ke Aage!

Tuesday, March 06, 2012 | 2:55:26 PM IST (+05:30 GMT) 17 Comments Apurva Agnihotri to essay D.C in Aasman Ke Aage!

Aasman Ke Aage to go on the floors this month end...

Apurva Agnihotri making a comeback after Bidaaiwith Sagar Art and 72 degrees northe's Aasman Ke Aage on Life OK was a buzzing hot news on Tellybuzz.

The show which will star names like Ojaswi Oberoi, Siddhant Karnick, Mouli Ganguly, Maninee Mishra, Rajesh Khera and last but not the least Apurva Agnihotri. The show deals with a girl who has a passion for dance and her journey as how she gets through her dream.

A source states, "Apurva Agnihotri would not be a dancer in fact he is the dean of a production which deals with new reality shows. He is the managing director and everyone calls him D.C."

It seems Apurva would be coming as a managing director on small screen for the second time as after essaying Armaan of Sony TV's Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi, where he was the managing director of a company Gulmohar.

We tried to reach Apurva Agnihotri, but could he wasn't available.

The show is slotted to go on air on the channel by the end of this month.[/quote]

BANSHEESARSEONFIREE !!! 😲

W*F IS THIS. I hope Palki sues their pants off 😳

Like this is D3 taking a SAD leap after Kriya Leaves .. And Apurva will be the older Rey ... who hates dance cuz his dancer almost-girlfriend left him .. and the show will centre around his prodigal daughter Kriya 2 and be named D3 (Daddy Doesnt Dance) !?!

And W*F does D.C stand for ..

Daddy Cool ?!

Darling Cutiee ?!

DisConneted ?!

Desparate and Confused ?!

Disturbingly Cheesy ?! šŸ˜•

OH THE HORRROR 😳

And D3's entire cast .. they are all trained dancers (cept for Amar and Amarjeet , but they are pretty good too) and are aces in their respective forte .. if they are making an Uncle / Aunty version of D3 .. with a cast that does NOT comprise of trained dancers .. they will fall flat ... and be flattened in NO TIME. Sad stuff man -____-

I saw London Paris New York. It was a superficial and rushed movie - as expected. The first 25 minutes seemed promising but the plot took a nosedive after that and didn't recover. I'll narrate the story - don't read any further if you want to remain spoiler-free, lol.

So basically, Ali and Aditi's characters meet at the airport in London. He's there for film school while she's on her way to New York (to study politics) but misses her connecting flight. So, he offers to take her for a tour around the city till she catches the next flight. They spend the day together and within those several hours, fall in love. I couldn't understand where the 'love' came from. It takes an average person longer than that to make a stranger their acquaintance, let alone lover. LOL! Anyhow, Aditi doesn't fancy long distance relationships so they don't take things to the next level. Before she leaves for NY, Ali promises to visit her in six months. However, he fails to keep his promise and doesn't show up in NY while she waits for him. He writes her a letter saying that due to his father's illness, he was unable to visit her. She contemplates replying to him but eventually decides against it. Instead, she just flies over to London for a surprise visit. And finds him in bed with a blonde! Heartbroken, she leaves the place without approaching him. A couple of months later, Aditi goes to Paris for an exchange program. Ali tracks her down (don't ask!) and meets up with her. She doesn't reveal that she saw him with the other woman. They go sightseeing and end up having sex - after which, he says the three magical words to her. But she dumps him. When he's like "W*F?" she tells him about the London incident. Apparently, she did this to him so that he would know what it felt like to be played around with. Wah, kya revenge hai. How did she know that dumping him after sex would break his heart given that she wasn't even sure he loved her? *shakes head* So they part ways on a bitter note. Five years later Ali goes to New York for professional reasons. He contacts Aditi (who is living there now) and she is all smiley-smiley to see him. I guess the two of them have amnesia or something because even after that heated argument in Paris five years ago, they greet each other warmly and hang out like long lost buddies. *confused muh* She tells him that she's getting married the next day. He's like 'Cool, let's spend this day together because tomorrow you'll get married and we might never see each other again'. So that is exactly what they do. At night, they make out (what the hell?) near the Hudson river and fall asleep right there. In the morning she realizes she's late for her wedding. He gets mad at her. Same old speech. "Agar tum usse shaadi kar rahi ho toh phir mere saath woh sab kya tha?" She replies that what she had with him was a 'momentary' thing, just like his romp with that blonde in London. Then he snaps. He defends that incident with the fact that she didn't reply to his letter so obviously he didn't know whether she was still interested or not - it's not like she told him that she would be coming over for a surprise visit - so he kind of got carried away with the other chick. But she (Aditi) is toying with him deliberately even though she knows he loves her. Etc etc etc. After his meltdown she just leaves in tears. All of a sudden he decides to go 'get his gal' and starts running on the streets of NY. I suppose he hasn't heard of cabs. A few moments later we find out that Aditi has canceled her wedding. He reaches her house ... long story short, they reunite and live happily ever after.

I really didn't get this funda of limiting the leads' interactions to just ONE day in each city. The storyline would have made more sense if everything was fleshed out. Ek hi din mein sab kuch ho raha tha. Love, sex, revenge, misunderstandings, realization ... you need more time for all of this to happen. The film should have been longer (it was only 90 minutes in length) to accommodate everything in detail. There were loopholes and unanswered questions. Why didn't Aditi reply to Ali's letter? Why were they using snail mail in this day and age? How was he always able to get in touch with her so easily if they hardly ever exchanged contact info? By the way, the Paris look of the leads was so, so horrible. God, what was the costume/make-up department thinking? The overall music was pretty meh - nothing to write home about. Basically this movie was a classic case of wasted potential. Maybe if a good director had presented this plot through a well rounded script, better screenplay, stronger characters, catchy songs, good costumes ... the movie might have clicked.

Yeah. I forgot to mention that bit. I liked that moment the most too. It was like she actually did hear him call her out. Most of them times we see Sharon's eyes which are so emotive and this moment, it was her body gesture that was just as emotive as in the moment when she's looking at him with eyes wide open. Good point...I totally concur...that is what made the moment interesting.

By the way, Swayam probably couldn't hear what Rey was saying to Sharon from behind, right? all that part about "You're best friend's got your back" and Swayam being the guy who would never let her falter and all that stuff. LOL no I don't think he could hear her there...Rey was saying all that in a low tone just for Sharon to hear.

On a side note, do you know of Penn Masala? They're going to be in my city for the India Fest this March. Oh yeah I've heard of Penn Masala...that's the acapella group, right?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣...Oh Rafi, you're hilarious...yeah I'm also wondering what Apurva's role will be...will it be like D3 meets LRL type of a story where Apurva's role will be like the older guy like Rajeev Khandelwal that some young girl in the company will fall in lowe with?

Show has the makings of being an epic fail as Amy said...I wonder if the "dancing" in this show will only consist of couple type dances just so they can show HAWT HAWT scenesšŸ˜†

Also doesn't this cast include that guy who was Mahi's big crush in Mahi's Way?...the guy she was always dreaming about? I mean Mahi's FIRST crush...before she turned into a despo hooking up with every other guy.

@anu-- you mean that desi Vampire guy?šŸ˜†
So, this isn't college based show but a dance company based show?😳 Ummm

@Sarah: Nice review...so you actually watched this movie? LOL the promos were enough to put me off so I'm not gonna bother with it anyways...it looked stupid to begin with...treatment ka pata toh wahin se lag gaya tha.

But LOL@ your description...now toh it sounds even more W*F-ish...what a third class story...If this is how today's generation discovers "lowe", I was obviously born in the wrong times.

@ Rafi - LMAO at your interpretation of D3 and DC. 🤣

Waise I don't think this show will be like D3. It's probably going to be Star One material or a saas-bahu saga. The female lead would want to dance. so eventually she'll meet the male lead aka DC. She'll have a love/hate relationship with him just like every other employee/boss on soaps. Then they'll get married and her evil in-laws won't like her dance-fests. And she'll make sacrifices for them. And so on! :P

@ Amy - I saw it for timepass. My other choice was Jodi Breakers and this one seemed a little saner in comparison. :P

Oh yeahhh he was also in the desi Twilight Kekta show, right?šŸ˜†...I also remember him as that irritating character from R.com that Rohan REALLY dislikedšŸ˜†

Yeah, the show isn't college based...I guess that "differentiates" it from D3šŸ˜†...they probably want to grab a broader audience...D3 only targets teens hence the college setting.

Personally I think the college setting is more apt for such a theme...all said and done, D3 has stayed true to the dance theme atleast...probably cuz it's on channel v...and the fact that all it's actors are trained dancers/choreographers...they choreograph their own routines so many times...that kind of encompassing unit that they've become...it's hard to build...I don't see how the new show will do that...plus the fact that it comes with the BAGGAGE of famous actors like Apurva etc. in it...the D3 lead cast was all new and got the time and space to build themselves up...if they had any other established actor in the lead cast, they'd all have been sidelined.
