There are different shows. Every now and then producers and actors try their hands at creating something different but the problem is with audience i believe cuz they dont accept those shows. They like to see the same old saas bahu stuff. As a result at the end just to survive they again twist and mold the story to suit the masses taste.
Only handful of people watch different shows. Even now all those typical shows are ruling the charts. The different one get sidelined or in this race of trps lose their originality and become like others.
