its inspired from a old Rekha movie,jeevan dhara.
there too ,she is shown working & taking care of her huge family. she too has a good for nothing brother. kanwaljeet played her bf who she gets married off to her widowed sister. amol palekar played the paying guest in their house. her brother is shown to be straightened but his past life catches with him & he is killed. Rekha is about to marry rakesh roshan,but after her brother's death has to give up the thought of marrying & has to again look after her family.
