It also depends on who watches what first I guess...my Mom had never heard of or watched DK...she watched KTLK first and then when I told her about DK's story etc and this being an adaptation, she wanted to check a few clips online...so maybe the fact that she got introduced to the story differently made her view it differently.

Personally Mash, I do understand attachments to some things from another era that now wouldn't work for some ppl...maybe it's akin to ppl of this generation saying they don't like DDLJ...I agree that DK was definitely path-breaking for it's time but the way ppl keep touting it as a classic and perfection...yeah that doesn't really work with me...I loved Baba-Ahmer bits and those stayed with me and those aren't being shown as well in KTLK...but the rest has ample scope for being shown better and KTLK is doing that in some ways.

In your case, well you can't watch something if you don't have access or motivation...you are only motivated to watch your Maat show these days so that's about it for you.

From brooding to being nervous to actually even smiling at one of Nidhi's silly escapades... Loved the twist. We all know that she's going to come back. I didn't really find it dragged, LadyM...itna toh banta hai for contemplation...it was better than Zoya staring at a pair of earrings all night *rolls eyes* I just can't live that down...that was the moment where I disconnected from DK I think.

Atleast Nidhi's contemplation was shown in a much better manner and not ROMANTICIZED.

Agree about the various range of emotions Ashutosh was shown to go through and it was nicely shown too...the way the song was used and juxtaposed with Nidhi thinking through the night as well.

The twist has made things interesting and I'm intrigued to see how she returns now too...KTLK seems to be sprouting some wings of it's own away from DK...and it's intriguing me more...so far the the show has moved at a good pace...let's see.
