A wonderful worth watching film'loved it 😃😃 'a wonderful experience, every frame u waited to know what will happen next 😛 'as Rajeev said ' a roller coaster ride 'literally '😆😆😆 of course at no point wanted to go out for popcorn'😆😆😆

Story started off with 5 youngsters & their funfilled life 'who njoying their life to fullest in their own way' & 1 accident & their life takes a 360 turn.😆😆

Apart from 5 kids ... there is this suspended cop Arvind Mathur having a marital life already on rocks even before completing first anniversary. 😆😆😆(love the way lady put it--shadi ko ek saal bhi nahi hua 😆😆😆)

As a COP'😎 Mathur saab is a very believable & a human character 'nothing filmy or melodramatic, nothing over the top abt the character '😃😃 just becoz he is a cop he is not turned into a superhero beating 10 criminals at a time,😆😆 & doing stunts 'everything abt mathur is realistic. 😳

Be it the chase sequence, the shootout scene with negros' or him beating the guy (I think 🤔 it was Malvankar)' or the way he drags the dulha'😆😆😆 or him kicking auto coz driver refuses to take him to Wasai'😆😆😆 overall Very natural & real.

We have seen cops before Mathur 'we will see many in future too '. But "Mathur Saab" as a cop will always stand apart from all on screen cops. 😳😳

Arvind mathur as a person is not a character u will instantly fall in love with😆😆'it takes time to know him, understand him, his way of reacting, his behavior, his way of showing anger, aggression, frustration '😆😆 why he is so 'the way he is😳😳 .

A spcl mention to his entry scene 'spclly where his reflection was shown on the glass😍 ' a hero type entry'👏👏 (then he says don't know how to play hero)' all the people in theatre were clapping by end of scene'😆😆

don't know what he did was right or wrong coz it cost him his suspension' but loved his dialogue

"agli baar apni biwi ko chodkar kisi aur aurat par haath pair chalaye toh pehli nahi duswe male se phenkunga" 😍

His scene with the lady who was filing for the divorce'Mathur v/s Mathur'& pissing him off with questions'😆😆😆

Mathur saab's reactions turned out good'"aapke pati aapko maarte hain" 'policewale haina Toh'

"yeh case meri band bajane ke liye diya hai"... & the dulha scene "Mathur saab" '. 😆😆

his best dialogue'was -- Kekde mein khoon nahi hota aur policewale mein imaan'

the auto scene 'Wasai nahi jaunga'& kicks the auto 😆😆 'chal'😛😛

The best part of film was that Mathur saab was on screen '😳😳 more than I expected 😆😆😆 'frankly I was little apprehensive whether he will get enough screen space among so many characters'😆😆

but must give credit to Bijoy that he gave equal importance & screen presence to all 👏👏 'at no point any character was left out.(except mathur's wife.. but it was OK 😛😛 ) '..All characters made their presence felt'mathur's wife in her own way'spoke her in her silence. 😃😃

Coming to performances each actor suited to their characters 'Be it KC, Dushyant, Amy, Tanya, zuben, even commissioner (pawan malhotra), Rajit kapoor . But Rajeev as Arvind really outshines all of them ' (saying not becoz a Rajeev fan, even if I hadn't been & seen shaitaan I wud have said same) coz sharing screen space with actors like Rajit kapoor & pawan malhotra who are known for their acting finesse, being in same frame with them & make ur presence felt' itself takes a lot for an actor.

No need for me to say 'Rajeev's acting was flawless, his facial expressions changed brilliantly 👏👏 inspite of not being vocal '😊😊 he emoted brilliantly by his expressions'😍 spclly when he goes to meet his wife. 😳😳 & the ending scene with his wife'😳😳 even the scene where he finds the dead foreigner girl, & church scene also where Amy hugs him 😃😃 . He was flawless.

Only thing I felt was' sorry for Mathur's wife character,😆😆 it took a backseat in the story poor girl didn't got a single dialogue'😆😆 but I guess it was according to story'but I am happy atleast Rajeev's character got a female lead unlike Aamir. 😳😳

Specially a big thanku to Bijoy 🤗 that he didn't made my Arvind mathur die in end like sujal, rajveer & aamir'😊 Love Bijoy 4 dat'😃😃

but a small complaint to bijoy .😛😛 that he didn't gave chance to my Arvind mathur to Smile & romance'😔 he just smiled once 😳😳 that too when he was dreaming😳😳 & guess the most romantic dialogue 😳😳 by him in the film--- "Main yahan apni biwi se milne aaya hoon"

(don't know why 'its just a coincidence of all rajeev's characters he played till now😉😉 , father of his female lead stay angry with him 😆😆 😉 )

Apart from Rajeev, wud not take credit away from kalki, shiv,neil, kirti & all characters they performed equally superb. Liked KC & Zuben' they craked me up many times'.even kalki too'

KC was hilarious when they were thinking ways out of mess'.

--gadi becho meri'jewelry chori karo meri'. Sabse amir main hi hoon'

& kalki'KC is kareena kapoor ko saath kyun laye'

I Guess rajat barmecha fans wud be disappointed'😳 as he was blink & miss appearance'😆😆 but he was good as shomu'Flashback mein flashback😆😆 '.& quite smart boy'.😆😆

Overall happy with shaitaan, it definitely has a repeat value '😳😳 or in RK's words it does have a shelf life'😛😛 even after months, years u wud like to come back to movie & watch it 😍 & njoy equally as u did first time. 😳😳

Definitely a anuraag's kind of film 👏👏where everything is not glitzy & glossy' & candyfloss '.but deals more with realities of life' u wud njoy Shaitaan if u love that kind of films. 😊😊

So from me personally its 3/5 '😛😛 1 extra for being Rajeev's film (cant help being bias) 😉😉 so 4/5' 👍🏼 & a must watch. 😳😳

I am sure by end of 2011 when we will talk abt top 10 films (in terms of content & performances not Box office collections) of the year Shaitaan as a film will specially feature in the list'& without doubts Rajeev in top 10 performances of 2011.

Oh yes review cant be complete without special mention of music'😛😛 afterall it gave me option to change my ringtone after 3 years '😆😆😆

Music is brilliant..had loved it from beginning but Know more... Be it O yaara , Pintya, zindagi'😍 & yes khoya khoya chand ☺️ (had loved original'now will love it all the more got 1 more reason to love it 😉😉😉 )

A terrific film'wud like watch it once again 😛😛 '
