*ahem* Ok...so what I really wanted to say was that I watched Stanley ka Dabba tonight with my family. It's just so...interesting. And a unique si movie. What a creative way of telling this particular kind of a story. Even though you kind of guess what Stanley's situation might be...I mean it is predictable in a sense. But the most wonderful part was, that I was left in tears by the end of the movie. I was just so touched somehow. It was like this perfect hint of poignancy. Like just the right amount to get the emotion/message across. Nothing too much or too little. Event though I saw what was coming, I was STILL pleasantly surprised somehow. I had a faint smile as well as halke se tears when the credits rolled down at the end. And I was surprised at how this movie touched me without doing a whole lot. It didn't try too hard is what I am saying.

It really is a special movie. I'd definitely recommend watching it, if you guys haven't already. I actually liked it better than TZP too, even though I love that movie as well. Just because of how minimalistic it was. And at the same time, how broad in scope it was. The message was I mean. It was like all these tiny and seemingly insignificant moments all tying up to something very significant at the end.

And oh, this movie DEFINITELY takes you back to your school days! Even if you get nothing else from it, you will get that I am sure. I was reminded of those lunch boxes that have the little slot made for your spoon right on the lid! Do any of you guys remember those? Maybe only those of you who went to school in India/Pakistan might? But I used to (and still do) think that they were SO genius!! 😆 I don't know why, but I remember being excited taking out that little spoon from that lid. 😆 Just SO convenient man! And OH, always being excited for when you got something like Maggi noodles in your lunch box! Or just any other favourite food. 😆 Aww, those were the days! :)) That school days wali innocence and bonding is captured SO well in this movie! :)

Thanks for the awesome review, Pallo! I really want to see this movie too cuz I've heard good things about it otherwise also...sounds quite promising :-)

I so want those OPI nail colors...including the Shatter types!😆

Drunk Mukti was AWESOMEEE! That's one of my all time fav. PM scenes...especially her "gandi naali waala DOGGY" line🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and Prem's expressions in response...in the bit when she goes, "Main paagal nahin hoon...main bahut INTELLIGENT hoon"🤣🤣...ahhh I miss MT!!!!!

WOAH!😲 what happened? did they have a trip/catch/stare routine with RaYaaa🤣 or did they show a song sequence with Priya's hands tied to chains while Ram lies on a block of ice/splatters water on his face a billion times in a universal restroom and remembers wall pinning Priya in a narrow exit way near the stair well?!

lol i saw a couple of episodes of BLAH the other day after seeing you guys rave about it a whole lot.

Apart from Ram and Priya's characters all other characters are either too loud (Read Shipra aka Batwoman or too softie (read Priya's dad and her brother)...either too cartoonish (read: Nutty Nuts) or too typical (re: step mum who looks like sister and her weirdo older brother who is an avid hoarder).
If the writers refrain from adding too many obvious stereotypes and focus more on the underlying aspects of the characters and the storyline, the show can be much better than it is as of now. Why assume that the viewers are not capable of understanding and enjoying smart and different shows? why succumb to those DESI shows' stereotypes? If no one brings the change in the types of shows being produced, then forget about saying that a certain "new" show is a different show in their first press conferences. Yeah i get it that those TRPs or whatever are necessary for the show to run and for the channel to let it run...but isn't it also up to the channel and the makers of the show to promote the change in the genre and type of story telling rather than giving up to trps and succumbing to those stereotypical twists and turns of a typical hindi soap?


@Anu-- have you been following navya? I haven't seen it since past 2 and half weeks now and don't even feel like making myself sit through it even for a second.😆

@Amy: LOL yes apart from Ram-Priya, the rest of the show is filled with a lot of weirdos and stale Ekta treatment *sigh*...We're hanging on mainly for Ram-Priya only...lol
