Wow Smriti, you are the first person, who sees it the exact same way as I do with novels and movies/TV shows.😃 Most ppl seem to really don't get the diffference. Don't know if you noticed it too, but when the HP movies aired ppl were always mad about how bad those movies wld be compared to the books. But IMO they did an amazing job with the movies. The most ranting was about the 5th movie and I went to watch every single scene of HP 5, but I hardly found anything they cld have done better. As you said it, it's not the same medium to tell a story, it has to be different.

MD screen time *Sigh* remember Golden Hour? All of the sudden every one was so freaking happy with GA again. But when you look closely you will recognize MD didn't have anymore ST as usual in S7.

I really sld only watch the MD recaps of S8, think this way I will like it much better.

I don't know what's up with Shonda 😕

Some things she said, esp the part about the fans, really upset me. But who really knows what's up in her mind. I just wished I wld know who is the true person in charge for decisions about the cast. Maybe ABC has more to say in this, than we all can imagine. Maybe Shonda wanted to end the Story after 8 yrs, but now she is forced to create a show that can run forever. Who knows.

And it's still confusing me, that no one seems to know if the main cast will stay or leave after S8. It can just be PR or it cld be the truth.

But yeah, Shonda wrote amazing MD scenes. You said it, the elevator scene in the craptical. Man, everyone loved that scene.

But she cld do it better, if she just for once wld let go of her dislike for romantic endings. Beautiful MD scenes are always stuck in the middle of everything else. Even the writers had big fights with her about that :/

Shonda is just a woman I think I'll never get.

r u kididng me people were ranting abt hp five???? u r kidding me right? i though its THE BEST hp movie and till date think so TILL DATE have u seen the size of that book? its HUGE JUST HUGE and that movie tried to show so freaking much SO FREAKING MUCH of the book ok i get it Sirius's death was just shown in a flash but hats exactly how it happeend in book too right? rest all Jo described what harry went through on seeing the closest thing he had to a dad die righ in front of his eyes just when he thought he had a family it all got snatched away and that feeling cna be described that beautifully ONLY in the novel in movie i think they did a beautiful job too that moment where haryr just screamed silently unable to do anything trapped frozen feeling helpless betrayed broken cheated by lfie yet again...wow...and ten the wya he filled with blind rage to an extent that he even didnt feel bad for using forbidden curses on Beletrix wow...it ws done beautifully...i like the movies u cant compare them with novels but in their own right they did good as long as they remain truue to the book they are all in sinc but when they try to digress from book and bring in their own angles thats when it goes blah

NO, I'm not kidding, sadly.

But everything you said, I totally agree. I love HP 5. I was lucky to work in a cinema that time, I watched that scene you just described so many times. 😃
