Sameer Soni to play the lead in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming show on Colors...

Sameer Soni has been away from the lime light after his controversial appearance in Bigg Boss 4. The actor after maintaining his silence for a while, is all set to be back in fiction. The latest we hear is that Sameer has been approached to play the main lead in Balaji's next on Colors.

A source says, "Sameer has been approached to play the lead in Balaji's next show on Colors which is based on the life of an advocate who gets married to another big shot advocate's daughter. The story will further see differences creeping in the relationship that will lead to their separation. This will anger the father in law and will make his life hell creating a lot of problems for him."

"The story will eventually see the unsolved problems of the lead actor and will later see the entry of the lead girl of the show."

When contacted, Sameer Soni confirmed the news and said, "Yes I have been approached for the show. It's really a big show and the character is very interesting, but things are yet to be confirmed as they are not yet materialized."

We are also told by the sources that Sameer in fact was the first choice for "Bade Acche Laggte Hai" which is currently on air with Ram Kapoor & Saakshi Tanwar on Sony TV, but due to some reasons that did not materialize. Anyways yeh Raam toh zyada hi hyper ho raha hai...I did enjoy the phone call though and Priya was SO cute with the way she was sunaaoing him as her sister egged her on😆...the comedy in that bit was amusing...a bit of a comedy of errors type of situation...the misunderstandings are building on top of each other...and Ram toh totally loses his head when it comes to his dumb family...this is the first time I've even seen him refuse to do something for a bit for that useless "Mom" of his...when he refused to go meet Kartik😆 Someone on the forum mentioned that Ram looked like he was about to eat the phone off 😆 he did go a bit...um...NUTS 😆...and without even knowing the situation blasted Karthik for being responsible for his sister's psychosis. But it's not like Priya understood what he was yabbering about anyway 😆 and yeah, I really did like that phone convo - Sakshi was sooo cute - she had been very angry before then but coming to that phone call the first thing she did was be very polite: "I'm Priya. I found your number somehow" 😆 and her sis is rolling her eyes in the background. What I found quietly hysterical was that the whole time, Priya had a knife in her hands as she was threatening Ram 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 somehow that made the whole scene something more than it was 🤣

I found it strange that Ram's mother was the "let's get her married to some middle class boy before she ruins her reputation" type and Ram was the snob. Usually its the other way around, but at least it kept us on our toes. I can't decide about Ram's mother. I mean, she is def evil...but there are times when she actually depends on Ram genuinely, like acknowledging that Natasha takes after Ram in temperament, and that he has basically raised her. There's this sense to me that she isn't completely detached...I'm not making much sense...can't figure out how to say what I am thinking...

I don't get Shipra's character...maybe she's supposed to be a grey bimbo...but seriously can't stand her shrill tones, period. Yeah, she bugs me too...and since Sudhir bugs me as well, I wasn't particularly interested in their scene either.

I kinda forwarded a lot of her and Ram's mother's parts😆...was in a hurry to finish the epi so I could watch the RP bits and then leave for work😆

Yeah hopefully this shaadi drama is wrapped up and gotten out of the way soon so that the real story can start.

Per what I realized about the promos showing the timeline of the story in a sense...and the significance of Priya wearing that white kurta with the green dupatta in the actual epi yesterday as well...and the way they showed Ram angrily slamming down the window in the promo...I guess that was the metaphor for the current stage we are at in the show where Ram will be ruthless and cold towards Priya based on all these misunderstandings...and next turn will only happen AFTER the shaadi based on the second promo which was the 'kamaal hai' one...😆 Ah. You may be right...rather than the show actually using the same scenes from the promos, they are using the promos as symbolism for the story. Which means that we may not actually get to see the hiccup and kamaal hai and market scenes, which would be a shame.

@Anu, on article: Who do you believe? Ekta, or "a source"?? TB ke sources ka vishwaas kaun kar sakta hai?! LMAO...since Ekta was quoted as saying Ram was the first choice, I'm more inclined to believe her.

Even Sakshi has said that EK approached her with the script/concept of BALH immediately after Kahaani ended, but had to wait while Sakshi took a break.

@Vas: LOL yeah it's a very apt nickname I'd say...Ram's mom's character is indeed hard to peg sometimes...but then I generally lose patience and forward her scenes anyways...lol

haha even I was quite amused to see the way Priya was waving that knife around...there's such an endearing side to her sometimes too, haina? lol

Ram is being very OTT about all issues since the accident...he's irritating me with his rants now.

Re: the promos...I think we just might get to see the snoring/hichki ideas incorporated in somehow if not in the exact manner shown in the promos...but I think those ideas will deffo be used once they both reach that stage after their marriage...lol

Re: the article...LOL yeah I guess I'll believe Ekta...but then maybe soon we'll also get another random TB article about some other person being the first choice before Sakshi?? *rolls eyes* lol...
