Hey all ...
I am glad Di you exam was good ... mine was brilliant but had a terrible day since I hurt my feet pretty bad and the nail of my thumb came out right before the exam ... *ouch* Thankfully Dev was there and he had the bandage and now I cannot walk properly - it's terrible ... I don't know why boys wear shoes with spikes ...😡
Anyways, yes Mehak and I had great time yesterday and love you too Mehak🤗
And Goa - it is sea and river both and water can be seen from resorts but see Goa too has cities like Panjim, Vasco, Margao etc ...
I am going to tell you a lot of things about Goa - please bare the excitement ...😳
Panjim : you can have leisurely walks there ... there is New Patto Bridge which will take you to Mandori river for cruise and boats ... it's tranquil ... nearby is the most beautiful church ever (for me!) You would have seen it in a lot of films as well - it's Immaculate Conception Church - it has beautiful stairs and is so peaceful ... And of course, Panjim Market - it's noisy, colorful and full of life ...
Margao : It has a lot of 18th century construction where you will be able to see a lot of antiques and stuff like that ... there is a Municipal Garden which brings you to peaceful silence despite the vehicles around ... Again the market here is just amazing specially for those who are fond of shopping - textiles, antiques, handicrafts - you will get all sorts of stuff there ... And you at least need half a day to explore the Ancestral Goa - it is a miniature village which depicts the traditional life of Goa, it's heritage and fading past of Goa - it's in Loutolim, near by Margao ...
Mapusa : It is the place which connects you to all the beaches of North Goa... Milagres Church is again a beautiful sight ... Swiss Chapel is a place where you can feel the peace despite the busy market city ... Again in the market - textiles, handicrafts, jewelery - everything will be there ...
Vasco - Municipal Garden is beautiful then you can go to Pilot Point from where you can see the Mormugao Port ... Okay, here nearby hill from Mormugao Port is Japanese Garden - must visit place and there is a stone stairway which leads to beaches!! Goa's one of the best beaches is here - Bogmalo Beach ... Vasco is the only place in Goa which has airport ... You have a very interesting museum here - Naval Aviation Museum ...
Now some beaches - Calangute Beach which is world famous, Miramar Beach which is in Panjim by the way - it's a lovely beach - my usual hangout place ...
Okay now one place which is a MUST visit in Goa - it's Spice Plantation - not heard of too much ... it is the biggest spice garden ... Organic Framing, Cashew Fini Distillation, people here give you deep knowledge about spices and herbs ... and all kinds of spices and herbs are here (most of them!) The food served here is made from the local spices and served in a very traditional manner and they take you on a trail around the garden - show you how they collect spices, even you can do that ... Enrich your knowledge and you know the most interesting part after the whole walk in sun you get tired so they put cold water through a mug from the back inside your shirt and it sooths your nerves ... And even you'll see Vanilla plants here and they serve you Vanilla ice-cream made by that vanilla ... it's near Bondla Sanctuary and it has natural streams flowing through ... it's an amazing place ...
P.S. I have lived in Panjim and Vasco and I love both of them!!
Well that's it from me as I have not traveled and explored Goa too much - these are the only things I know ...
@ Di I am glad you are going to read Jane Eyre and if possible please read Wide Sargasso Sea which is prequel to Jane Eyre as well ...
