Btw - I just read about AB's character being bumped off from this serial and he claiming that he'll be back with a "better" show ... LOL. So much for his choice of show in the first place! Anyhoo, these days there are so many new comers pouring in everyday that it is hard for established actors to find new shows. Not justifying AB but, I read an article somewhere about this topic about how hard it is for even the 1-2 show old actors to find new shows.

THAT'S the reason why he chose the character ? :O There's nothing wrong with essaying a Marathi character of course , but agar woh uska SOLE consideration tha...Bal Thackeray ki aulaad :O What decision-making skills *shakes head* Thakela show tha...thakela storyline, thakeli heroine.

LOL yes THAT was his reason for selecting this show...cuz otherwise socho KIS angle se the character has ANY scope?? Bijlani is a timepass actor who just seems to doing timepass in this industry...wohi 2-3 type ke lame loverboy roles karne ke liye baitha hai *rolls eyes*

Like LadyM rightly pointed out...this industry is pretty weird about this stuff...an actor just 1 or 2 shows old is started to be considered stale...everyone just wants fresh faces...whether they can act or not...but waise aajkal thoda bahut trend "season two" ka bhi chala hua hai seeing KMH2 type of stuff on air so I guess these ppl manage to find scope SOMEWHERE thanks to their fan followings...lol

I think I remember it was Hiten's article - about how they get used to a particular lifestyle and then it becomes a matter of keeping the fire burning in the kitchen. So basically they just jump at anything that comes their way. Becoz these actors have lost hopes of making it into B-town which is the ultimate goal for any actor, whether or not they claim likewise. But they never get the fame and the reach that they've gotten in the television industry. Take Mona Singh for example. While she was the queen of the television world with her top notch serial JJKN - she had a blink and miss performance in 3 idiots and no one probably even remembers her - ab woh alag baat hain ki Rajkumar Hirani said that Mona Singh was the most natural actress that he had come across in a long time on Koffee with Karan. But that comment of his received absolutely no importance on that already all fluff no meat show! *rolls eyes*

LOL Raju Hirani said that about Mona?? haha Kareena didn't get offended seeing as she was the lead heroine of that movie? :P

Mona is only natural at her AAHO JI type of bubbliness...otherwise as an actress I don't think she is very versatile...I'm not much impressed *shrugs* She sticks to these hosting gigs cuz it's either this or random two bit roles in saas-bahu soaps...so she's chosen the lesser of two evils I guess...lol...and WOWEST and AWESOMEST bubbliness helps her *rolls eyes* JJKN was a longgg time ago, LadyM...does public memory really last that long? Hardly...in today's times atleast...ppl have moved on to lame Akshara types now...lol


Only a few of these actors manage to keep their dignity once their first fame show high wears off after it ends...Hiten has still done good for himself...he's made a place for himself.

I skimmed through a few posts.. I see a few posts on DID .. I saw only the first season of DID ( courtesy my in-laws again, who were visiting then and we had subscribed to Zee then), so I am more familiar with the season1 contestants.. I caught an eppy of dancing ke superstars( hope I got that name correct) and saw mayuresh dancing.. I used to like him during season 1, so was fun to watch him again.. also saw the classical duo performance of vrushali and the other gal.. me biased completely towrds the season1 contestants ..

on navya.. it gets better after 6th ? will have another shot at it during the next weekend..

@LadyM: good to know that I havent done any damage .. hehe .. Prajakta and chaafa are the two flowers I love and dont get it here at all.. and also grocery shopping can also be expensive, speaks a gal who spent 100 $ at grocery during the weekend and declared to my hubby that I got a free bag ( avoiding the whole, I got the free bag coz I spent over 100$ on earth day ... hehehe)

@Anu, u shld watch the *phas gaya re obama* .. ohhh *tere bin laden* ... i missed getting that dvd from India.. dang it.. the amount of dvds i carried, no papads and all but dvds for sure, I thought they might charge me with trafficking in dvds .. hehehe

Agree with you about Hiten. He has made a name for himself. Wonder what MB is upto? He's totally disappeared after that dance show on Sony! And I was actually rooting for him to win ... but that $@!*# Kashmira Shah and Krushna took the cake!

Edit: Heyyy Mru - *waves* Howdy? Grocery shopping can be expensive - but I convinced myself that as long as I was getting a buy one get one free, it was okay to splurge. But on a side note, I do think I went a little overboard. DH was wondering how on earth are we even going to consume 2 breads, 2 pineapples, 2 butters, 2 milk cans etc before their expiry date!
