But he's JUST.SO.ANNOYING. AAARGHHH! I literally feel like KILLING someone everytime I see his mug on the screen :-/ Stupid , stupid , stupid character. And his hair and voice are annoying as well :-/ He's just dumb...I'm not super annoyed...I'm just like ehhh...next😆On the topic of voices , Anant/Shaheer has an awesome voice :D I like listening to his voice ! Yeah Shaheer has a really nice voice, I agree...that's what lends the maturity to the character in a sense too cuz otherwise he's not exactly conventionally good looking or anything...the charm comes from his voice and his personality I'd say...he does have a cute smile😆

I agree with the 1995 version being more close to the book. I watched the 2005 movie. I just couldnt connect with it. It seemed too fluffy, ( not that the original book is anything deep, but still). And Jennifer Ehle played Elizabeth the way I had imagined her to be, when I had read the book for the first time. Colin Firth, I loved him. He was a MAN in that series .
Regarding the dude who played the Darcy in the 2005 movie ( my memory fails me as usual on his name), he was too boyish for Darcy. But i loved him in another British movie, "Death at a funeral".
That was a movie that I picked just like that at Blockbuster and started watching it without any expectations and had such a good time. It has a whacky British humor and also sometimes gross. But I was literally rofling at a few places. Not recommended to watch during dinner though ( I made the mistake of doing just that .. and err.. no comments 😆)

Anyhoo - Ofcourse they did take some creative liberties where they gave us a glimpse of Darcy's feelings for Elizabeth - the fencing scene, the "lake" scene or the scene where he goes back at night to the same room that Elizabeth had visited earlier that evening recalling the incident where she saves his sister of an embarrassment and covertly and coyly throws him a glance etc ... whereas the book only talks about Elizabeth's POV. But even then I liked the mini-series for the same reasons that you mentioned - both Jennifer and Colin got the characters perfectly. In fact even insignificant characters like Mr. Collins or Mr. and Mrs. Bennet or Lady Catherine were quite good.Yeah yeah I liked it for the same reason :) that they were bold enought to make changes , but it didn't go against the book...I mean , whatever extra bits they showed , everything was in keeping with the idea of the characters we get from the book...and I guess that's another reason for its popularity...one of the reasons I feel , why P&P has spawned so many sequels and spinoffs is because you hardly get what's going through Darcy's mind in the book...and here they gave us quite insightful glimpses w/o making him seem , I dunno , a wimp.

Anyhow just got home from a super long and tiresome day at school. My AP Lit teacher SUCKS big time! she has us write papers almost every freaking week!😡
