I stopped participating actively wayyyyyyyy back , and I stopped visiting it as well for some time : / Jaake karoon kya ? What amazes me is the inane 'justifications' they find for Jagya's adultery , because that's what it is , adultery , plain and simple. Who CARES if he had a child marriage and blah blah , fact is that he's married to Anandi , and NOTHING , NOTHING can justify an extra-marital affair : S And as far as 'calling off' a marriage is concerned , how can someone CALL a bloody MARRIAGE off ?! Child marriages , as disgusting and vile as they are , ARE valid legally
That's what ....just because he didn't have the 'maturity' to understand what a marriage 'entails' when he got married , now he has the license to romance someone else . Woww. The most DISGUSTING thing I find about the channel is how it keeps making all these tall claims of 'focussing' on women-centric issues...women-centric issues , my foot. I mean , EVERY single show they have makes a mockery of womanhood , IMO . Take Uttaran. From a tale which should have concentrated on the actual emancipation of the daughter of a maid , which had tremendous potential of course , ab it's basically the guy and his two wives. Brilliant.
BV , the less said the better . I wanted them to focus on Anandi's education ...and I thought that after the leap , they'd show Jagya supporting her and going against Dadisaa to give her a complete education...but no , the only time she'll take up her books is when she has to retain the man of course.
Colors is a CRAPPY channel...they have this whole stupid strategy of pretending to focus on some women-centric theme , which more often than not , will be controversial ( child marriage , female foeticide , honour killings , you name it ) but they end up demeaning women MORE than shows on other channels...at least doosre shows don't pretend to be focussing on social issues and talking the moral high ground :/
