u know Amy Diwali and holi are the festivals I enjoy the most, specially Diwali.. u should go there once on these time

Fary thanks for the wishes sweetie I know festivals are the times when u really wanna be with ur family and wow fire crackers and diyas is something I look for in diwali, and yesss mithaiyaan and gifts new dress 😆 rather the whole months starting Navratri,,. its festive season lagataar

I mean dussera, then karwachauth I remember how much as a kid we used to wait for mom to break her fast and how we used to run on terrace to see if moon is out 😆😆😆 reason not that mom will break her fast but wooo hoo we will get loads of stuff to eat 😳 ek dum nulayak lalchi bacche they humsare cousins 🤣

the fire crackers with sound above 90 decibels have been banned ..hmph..the big crackers are the best ones! but still diwali is going to be awesome..i love diwali..firecrackers..will be making the rangoli in a bit

Same here sidra! I only know of how festivals are celebrated in india from my grandparents and parents and well indian movies and shows and stuff. I really want to get the real experience at least once!

I miss having chand raats at home and how we all used to eb outta house all night doing mehendi and chudiyan & stuff nothing is same here

Sidra: Yup... Since the likes of Mona and Me, grew up out there before moving here to the states, can feel the difference...But for folks like you, Amy, its all movies and what you hear...

If possible you folks should visit homeland sometime during festivals... Its so much more lively and fun....when practically everyone around you is celebrating !!!!!

Mona, are you here alone? and did you just recently come here?
Awwww i can totally feel ya!
once i visited india one summer with my grandparents and stayed there for 2 months and was so home sick! after about 4 or 5 weeks in...i called my mum and cried on the phone asking for her to move the tickets ahead because i missed home so much. but this was long time ago...silly me! lol started crying then! 😆

Yea i hope to go to Pakistan during eid time at some point. My mom used to tell me her eid stories and stuff. Actually I havent fully celebrated holidays since i came to collage. Eid has been coming during the school year and my college is a 12 hr drive away from home - i usually just end up flying home only for eid namaaz. 😔
