Some random tidbits... first off, some of you might've heard about and seen promos for the new 3-D animated Ramayan movie that's coming out this Dussehra (ahem ahem, which reminds me of another pic update on a certain somebody's to-do list 😆). Anyways, for those of you who haven't, just wanted to share the promo with you cuz I'm kinda looking forward to it. I thoroughly enjoyed all the animated mytho movies that came out in the past couple years - the Hanuman one in which our Bhishma Pitamah Mukesh Khanna voiced Bajrangi, the Krishna one with the beautiful songs, even Ghatotkach 😆 They've pretty much all been made faithfully, cutely, and artistically and are a welcome escape from the other crap in theaters nowadays. And all of them have at least one adorable peppy yet bhakti-may song that makes it onto my I-pod Hoping for the same from this one. Shri Ram's voice is given by Manoj Bajpai (the only one I'm a bit iffy about), Sita Mata is voiced by Juhi Chawla, and Ashutosh Rana as Ravan (these two are perfect choices I think). Anyways, without further delay here's the promo, lets hope it turns into something great that we can watch and discuss here when it comes out over the holidays!!

congrats for being bits! here are my questions, ill be back, hehe.
He he. Thanks a lot sister. Here I go.
1. what is your favorite part of Arunji's acting?
Calmness & politeness - plenty of scenes so difficult to mention one - but the best is the one when fun also merges with peaceful way of talking - the way he talks with Shurpankha. OMG - kaatil adaa. And his serious calmness during the song 'Nirnay ki ghadi'.
2. what is your favorite part of Deepikaji's acting?
Determination & strength. Solidity & anger. Ghaans ke tinke wale scenes. In fact her smiling look also.
3. what is your favorite part of Sunilji's acting?
Everything. Funny part. Emotional part. Anger part. Action part. But most liked is the cute part. Innocence while serving his brother.

4. Dara Singhji's?
Face expressions, eyes expressions (all - funny, devotional, emotional, curiosity, respect for others) and maturity. His voice is dubbed well but his own voice with Punjabi assent is also very very sweet in one small scene of Mahabharat when he meets Bhimsena and also in the movie Bajrang Bali.

5. Arving Trivediji's?
Energetic involvement. Powerful speech. Big angry eyes.

6. other than the five above, who else is your fav actor/actress?
Many many - lots of them - very tough to name just a few. Very unfair it would be to those whose names won't be mentioned. There will be at least 2/3 dozens from Ramayan and 1 dozen from Shri Krishna.

7. do you like Dada sagarji's ramayan or shri krishna?
Both.
As a complete serial - Ramayan.
In the sense of spiritual depth and devotion generating capacity of only pieces or some parts - Shri Krishna.
8. what is your favorite song in ramayan?
Ramnam aadhaar jinhe (Setu bandhan) - Most favourite song
Purushsinh dou veer ---to---dhanurbhang - Most favourite song sequence

All the songs are my favourite. Some other day, I might write some other song.

Bharat sam nahi dooja koi tyaagi;
Jis Kaaran aaye us kaaraj;
Kandhe par dou veer......

Endless list.

9. scene?
Ram-Vali dialog - Janam janam muni jatanu karaahin, ant Ram kahi aavat naahi.
10. most emotional scene?
Must be 1 dozen again including the song line posted in the previous question

To name a few illustrative (They can always generate flow of tears and storm inside)

- Bharat and Nishadraj hugging each other
- Shabri at the feet of Shri Ram

And Ramanand Sagar's commentary after that Shabari episode - Us desh me jahan Ramayan gaayi jaati hai, wahan jaati paati aur unch neech ki baat koi mere saamne kare, to vishwas nahi hota. Jo Ramayan ko maantaa hai, wo kabhi aisa keh nahi sakta, kabhi aisa kar nahi sakta. Aisi meri maanyata hai, aur apeksha bhi. Jai Ramji ki.

- Ahalya
- Ram Hanuman first milan, Sitaji's boon to Hanumanji and again Hanumanji back from Lanka at the feet of Shri Ram
- Ram Vibhishan milan
- Sharbhang rishi
- Kevat
- Janak raja's decision in Chitrakoot

And the list obviously doesn't end here.

one more question bhaiyya.😃
i know you dont like the new mythos very much,
Nahi Mina aisa nahi hai. I haven't watched them so can't comment. I just watched a couple of episodes. I just personally don't feel need to watch them that's it. I love the fact that they create devotion and love for the epic in current generation.

but leaving aside the direction factors, do you like the looks of any of the actors?
To be honest, looks to jitne actors dekhe hain unka nahi achchha lagta (suitable to roles) par utna deep me hi nahi gaya is baat ko analyse karne ke liye.

do you like how guru, debi, or anyone else in ramayan looks?
I liked Guru's acting. I liked Debi's acting in last episode of dharti fatna. Telling you just from a viewing of 3-4 episodes in total. Sorry, but I don't like their looks comparatively to their roles and that of Arun-Deeps. Though I liked their looks in mytho serial get up compared to their real life or non-mytho serial looks. In non-mytho serials, their look is too much modern for me and I am the guy liking everything old. Old movies. Old culture. Old fashion. Old music. Old looks, Old actors, Old singers, Old cricketers😃. So nature factor here. But I know they have done a great justice by their performance to their roles. And that is the most important part for praising them. And hence I like them that way - their influential factor. After all, their these particular roles influence the generation towards devotion and epic. So, hats off and greetings.

do you think Anand sagarji had good intention with remaking ramayan for younger generation, or do you think it was bad attempt?
I am not too sure. One one hand, I don't see any need if you can successfully market the old ones. But it's the factor of human psychology that it is required to be given old thing in a new packaging. Then only it can be grasped. So that way I heartily appreciate the effort. They have emphasized too highly on technology part which is having least weight in my mind but they have also maintained very good music. Intention to I don't think Ramanand Sagar jitna noble kisi bhi aur ka ho sakta hai. To unke maapdand se sabko naapnaa to uchit nahi. Thoda bahut commercial to hoga hi. Kuchh zyada bhi ho sakta hai. Even BRC (who was not commercial) also was dedicated creator but his focus was mainly on Karmyog and Gnyaanyog. Spreading of devotion me to - there is cheersthaayee monopoly. Pure monopoly. Jo I doubt kabhi bhi koi bhi tod paayega.

i know some people my generation dont watch old ramayan because they think it has too old technology (i don't think that, hehe)😳, so for those people, do you think the new ramayan is needed to teach them the morals of our hindu religion?
Yes. After answering you thus far (because of the forced thinking for the same and also my already given answer in the previous paragraph before reading this question). I think to a quite a bit of extent. See the point most noteworthy and arguable in favour of new mythos strongly is that they have not contributed negatively at all. What has happened is in the positive direction only. No value or positive value. There is no minus value. On the contrary, it has also made people curious to see old mythos and also made old mytho contents reach to new viewers who were not ready to watch them.

Some of my friends loved new ramayan very much and changed for the better because of it tooo, and it convinced them to watch old ramayan which is better and more accurate.
Ha ha ha. I am replying and then finding the same point what I am writing before. Great!!!!

so do you think the new mythos today are doing good for today's generation who refuse to watch old shows and movies of their parents generation?
Of course yes. We can't help it but for this compromise. Something is better than nothing.

And guess what else - I found Ashok Balakrishnan a.k.a. our Kanhaji from the Kaliya-Govardhan phase of SK, for which he won the Uptron Best Actor award in 91-92. As Aradhana told us some time back, he's an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer, choreographer and actor in the South. His b-day is December 12th, 1981 - which makes him almost 29. Here he is now... be prepared for a shock 😲

Here goes a siggie on one of my most fav scenes in SK, when Vasuji finds out from Maharishi Garg that not only Baby Balram, but also Baby Kanha is alive and well. I never tire of watching it over and over because it's soooooo sweet and touching, you can actually feel his love and excitement because it is portrayed so perfectly... and also the way Gargacharya interacts with him, it's such a brief but beautiful display of the softer side of the guru-shishya relationship for which I also love the Vashisht-Bharat moments of Bharat milaap... love everything about this scene 😍 Here it goes, feel free to use:

Thanks a ton for the pics Janu, you da best 🤗 Switched 'em in, she said it's cool cuz she wouldn't start the rest until after today. Did you get my heads-up about the pics for yours btw?? Anyways thanks again... this has gotta be hands-down the sweetest silent scene of all of them, it's shooooo innocent and cute 😍 Couldn't help but siggify with lyrics from one of my fav romantic Bolly songs Na Kajre Ki Dhaar (Mohra). The line makes much less sense in English (are you the freshness of the flowers, or are you the jewel of simplicity?), but just take my word for it, it fits 😆 The style is kinda inspired by the Ravan-Sita Samvaad one that Shikha recently made you, so thanks Shikha!!

Wow, aMAZing work, Lola!!! Love the siggie, it's soooooooo sweet! Esp this version!
Ephotobay's currently down, so my slideshow's gone for the moment, but once it's back up, this one's def going in.😃
Lols, I'll take your word for it. Some Telugu songs don't make sense when translated to English either, I think that's just the case for most Indian songs.😆
Btw, yes, I got your other PM...trying to find some good MandodariSita pics.😳
Are you going to be on tonight? I am. I'm currently a bit free so I'm going to be updating the BRC CC.
