Anyways I finished reading the book and it is anything but biography. There are way too many co-incidences in the book and amazed at how Mortenson remembers all the conversations that happened a few years ago (I cant remember what i did last week 😕) Nevertheless, considering that he is doing an amazing job educating the underprivileged and needs that kind of publicity for raising funds I am happy that I've read this book 😊

Yeah, looks like it. It's great, I think. He's doing something worthwhile. As it is, in such areas, people don't focus on education, specially for the girls. It'll open up their minds more. 😃😃

Out founding fathers had decidedly socialist leanings too.
The western countries specially The US don't think or strategize in terms of a few months or a year they think in terms of 20 years ..50 years.
Basically they might have forseen us a threat or getting too powerful..
Because much thought wasn't given to partition,they divided the boundary on paper,they didn't even go and see the geography,the people,no proper census was done either.
They knew there would be a bad fallout .
Hell you plan,create risk documents, have a disaster recovery plan for even a small business project.
How come a country was divided with such haste and so much ineptitude..

India did the same with Srilanka.The Tamil had been fighting there for years..we didn't bother did we......Come 1971,Srilanka offers its naval base for use to Pakistan/US raising India's hackles.
How did we eliminate that threat..LTTE.
We effectively gave them enough troubles of their own to stop them from being a threat to us.
Which is what the west has done to us..given enough troubles of our own,

And another thing India is never going to give up Kashmir, we are holding on to it on sound theory.
1>Water>>Most of our rivers originate around that area..Hell all of Pakistan's water supply goes through India
2>Geographically ..gives us strategic depth.It would be a logistical nightmare for a big army to cross over
3>It would be extremely foolish to give into Kashmir's demand based on religion.
That would give rise to Insurgency in other states/
We have had the Khalistan movement,Tamil movement,naga insurgency and many more incidents..

As it is I cant stay for more than 30 min in the kitchen, so have been practicing easy, simple and fast cooking and of course, it feels good on tongue too 😆😛. Only on weekends i spend more time.
