I am not sure about north but most of the places in south, it is a bottomless problem and Dowry is still a pest that's preying on many women. Were u ever been an unfortunate and helpless witness to this crime? Would you take/give dowry to get married? And last but not the least, which is the effective way to deal with this problem or is there any way to deal with this problem at all?

I think dowry is the stupidest thing ever, I mean isn't the girl enough for them😕 they take her away from her parents and her loved ones and also expect money. It's a stupid mentality and totally unnecessary. I think it's pointless too. Plus they kill some girls since they don't get enough dowry, how ridiculous.

Every problem can be solved, people just need to be more understanding.

I can't believe you like HP too, what did Aladin do to you😕

I think dowry is totally unnecessary. I will never give it. Fortunately, I don't think people living in the US expect the girls' family to give dowry. Luckily, times have changed and many people are not sticking to the traditional practices.

I was listening to a telugu song from the movie called Sagara Sangamam when I took my canvas to paint. One line from the song inspired me a lot.... 😊

Pancha bhutamulu mukha panchakamai (All Elements of nature combine to form a face)

And this is the painting I've been working on for the past few days 😃

Have to still work on the sun as he ate up all my orange and yellow colors.. I am saturated now and am no hurry to finish it now. So i posted the almost finished painting 😛

This is my first self motivated painting apart from the ones I did for class assignments. Hope u all like it 😳

p.s I am not a professional artist... just did something to kill time at home 🤗

This is the fallacy of language. We can't always articulate what we feel, we can only come close to an approximation. Words don't always mean the same things to everyone... And to me, the change of the subtitle doesn't really make a difference. The story would remain the same irrespective... We all kinda agreed that education can not fight terrorism completely, and one can likewise argue that peace isn't promoted by schools... Schools can very well be instruments of dogma and propaganda. (This is of course, a pessimistic view; and we shouldn't subscribe to it... but reading the two different subtitles doesn't really force one to imagine a zameen-aasmaan-esque schism... At least I don't start seeing blood and gore at the mention of the word "terrorism", and I don't see flying doves at the mention of the word "peace"...)

In all honesty, actually... it is this sort of uber-dramatization of Greg's reasoning, to change words for politically correct sounds is what kinda puts me off. Even if he did change the title, why score brownie points for something like that?!
Someday, if I make a big scientific discovery and publish it... I don't think that I'll run a parallel commentary highlighting all the editorial changes so that everybody and their grand parents are aware of the deep thoughts that consume me! 😛😆😆 I so wish there was more objectivity... We have a "real" story, I wish it was told like one...

@Nitzy's question: It is just longanimity. Perhaps laziness... The people are tolerating a lot, but they aren't doing anything about it... I wouldn't call it patience. (Patience, in my understanding equates with the person who is giving. The giver will be the person who would be patient. Not the person who is receiving.)
