Good God! I have to turn my back on this thread for a few hours, and there is a green blood-bath here! Here is a question I came up with, on the premise of the book:

Greg was motivated by the the saving of his life. Understandably, that is a significant thing... to save life, or getting saved, isn't it?
Has anyone of you gone through such an experience?? If yes, then how completely indebted have you remained to the saviour, or how completely indebted has the person you saved been towards you?? People surely forget things such as these... How do you judge this nuance of the main protagonist? Are all people as grateful? Could Greg have been suitably ensnared by the publicity or the future glory that his work would bring him, rather than simple good-will in lieu of what he got from the people... How much selfishness would you attribute to his motives?

(This is the best I can do with the few pages that I have read.)

Yes, I daresay it's very contagious! 😆 😆
I don't mind saying it, it's nice! I think afterwards the effect might wear off, though! 😆

That's partly my fault! 😃 😳
Hi Mohitji, howz you?

Some interesting questions! Even though I haven't been in that postion yet, where I have saved someone else's life or have my life saved, I'm just merely speaking on human instincts!
There many situations, where one can come together when lives are at staked and others that will leave to forget bad memories of such incidences! For example, the horrific 9/11 attacks, many people were saved, although many think they should not have been saved, there are others who move on, holding their and others lives dear to them!
But that was a major event, there are small incidences, where I think many people are likely to forget faces and debts since they don't seem to think that greatly of them! There are many differences way to react, just depends on people's situations and themself, how are they likely to deal with such events!
As for Greg, he is one of many people you rarely get to see, he is just simply reacting how he sees best at the prime situation!
Well, that is my two cents and my first discussion to this thread! Hope you all understand what I was trying to say! Would love to hear your views now! 😃

I don't think anyone would forget an incident like that, everyone wouldn't be able to do something as ground breaking as GreG did ,but they woiuld definitely show their gratitude.
I haven't had an experience like that yet,but there was this one time I was in an accident..I was in shock not hurt..it was a very high volume highway..This lady stopped and waited with me till the cops came..I was really touched.I don' know her name or who she is,I couldn't even thank her properly.
But I try to pass it on,I try and help people if I can.
I t is quiet vivid in my mind.😊
