Sushant Singh Rajput aka Manav from Zee TV's prime time show Pavitra Rishta has been teaching street kids from Versova, Mumbai how to read and write.

We spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput aka Manav who said, "Yes, there are some five to 6 kids who are learning Basic English and Maths. Sometimes I also teach them Martial Arts, which I think everyone should know. They do it happily when I say that if you will learn this I will give you biscuit packets and for the biscuits they learn mathematical tables in five minutes."

Further when asked him as to what made him help the street kids he said, "One day, I was sitting in Barista, Versova watching a movie on my laptop and out side Barista there were some kids who were doing masti and later on, I asked them would you like to learn and write and first they said no but later when I gave them the biscuits they were very happy and from then onwards for the biscuits, they are learning and writing."

Rajput concluded, "Every kid has the right to be educated and not deprived of a better tomorrow. It's just the starting point of my initiative and I am hoping that my little gesture will help these kids for their future."
Awwww...This is sweeett!! He's not even asking anything in return and actually giving them biscuits n all....that's very kind of him! I think that's what makes him a Hero....a real one!

Nothing much except that work is keeping me insanely busy these days. *sigh* But that is a good thing, right? *tries to perk up*

Anyways, I am hooked onto Sasural Genda Phool and although there are certain aspects of the serial I don't agree with, I am still watching it for its simplicity and rustic feel. Like I don't agree that Suhana refuses to see the guy she's marrying, just to spite her former lover.

Edit: Hi Kavya darling! *hugs* How are you?

LadyM, I am also following SGP on and off, I like the show overall and I quite identify with Suhana on many levels except that I never had a BF (unfortunately :( or may be fortunately ) and I am not AS short tempered as her neither am I bratty, if I break vases and cutlery like her just because I am angry, my mom would throw me out of the house or send me to an asylum LOL. Anyways, I agree with you- I don't like how the Kashyap family supports that irresponsible second son's carelessness wrt his career and yes, I too don't like Suhana agreeing to marry Ishaan without even seeing him just because Sid broke her heart and she wants to prove to him that she IS "marriage material", she doesn't have the right to play with someone else's feelings or their life just because she faced a setback in hers....

EDIT:

Hi LadyM *hugs back* I am fine , how are you and how is the LO doing?
