Be back in five minutes, so you have five minutes to read my post. 😃

Monica ji, thanks so much for the links. I did download the books, but only God knows WHEN and IF I'll read them. 😳😳

Our next book will still be: A Long Way Down... For you and Kez, we can always try it this way, that the person who comes up with a question gives a background summary, so that everybody can make a comment. Then, you'll not be left out...
For all you know, Aladin ji, you might just end up wanting to read the book... 😃

Mohit ji, you are too kind to me. Embarrassed😃😃
Yes, I gathered. Even with three votes, teen pyali chai still won't have enough votes. I voted more for just the purpose of voting more than anything. 😆
Maybe Kezia ji might read the book. However, I can't take any gaurantees for myself. EmbarrassedEmbarrassed At this moment, I am planning to finish up the series and then starting back up again. 😆😆
How are your experiments running. How's your eye. Feeling better, I hope. 😃

Aladin ji, I'll tell you once again what happens in the Alchemist... There is this Spanish shepherd guy who sees a dream, and goes all they way across the Sahara dessert to the pyramids of Egypt in search of that treasure. On the way, he learns that the Universe speaks to him through omens and then comes under the tutelage of an alchemist while he is crossing the dessert, stopping by at an oasis, falling in love... and ultimately reaching the pyramids... and discovering where the treasure is...

The story is written in such a style that any serious reader will be left wondering what was wrong with the author in the first place... Perhaps, the mirages! The author must've been hallucinating and seeing mirages: of omens, treasures, and what-not to come up with this book! 😛

Kezia has exams coming up, so she is kinda excused... but I have high hopes from Pinki, and RW that they'll be reading the book... (I and Smita ji have already discussed some of it over scraps!)

Experiments, the eye, everything else... All is fine...

BTW, Aladin ji... You haven't commented on RW's Bollywood movie on The Alchemist... Since Bollywood is what you do best, let us have your expert opinion on it...

😆😆😆😆 Actually, I like the idea. However, I don't believe in the universe consipring. One must put in the required input (hardwork). If you want something, you work hard for it, and things usually do fall into places. One could say that the universe consipred, but if it consipres for so many people, we'll just end up with numerous conspiracy theories. 😉
The idea of romance is sweet though. 😃
Speaking of omens, I once gave an interview for an internship and they quoted me a certain salary. I wasn't sure if I will get the job, and that day I took the bus and ended up missing my stop. They took us on an unknown route and I saw a building with the same number (as the salary). It was quite interesting. I guess this can constitue my personal leged. 😆😆
I can't say the universe conspired it so, but yes, I do believe that sometimes (not always), there are signs for us and if we look hard enough, we seem them. However, many times there are false signs and we might end up falling for them. One should have more faith in oneself, because even our religion teaches us the same. God helps those who help themselves. 😃😃

It was fun and interesting. I like the songs, specially the AB one and the Kashmakash one. I hardly hear shudh hindi nowadays. One thing I must say is that RW ji is really quite creative. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I did catch OSO and it was alright. The dialogue does stand out, but I have seen too much of the world to be an idealistic. Optimism is good though, because when we are constantly looking for the negative, we tend not to enjoy even the positives. 😃😃

Yeah... Such things happen to people quite often... We were having this discussion in our lab too... and almost everybody had similar tales to tell... so, in principle, the omens are rather frequently seen; but there is no way of knowing what is a coincidence and what is a genuine message from the Universe... That is always confusing...

The idea of the book is to inspire... and for that I like the book. But as I've grown up, I think that one must find inspiration from industry and work, not from omens and signs (as you also point out!)😃... You start believeing in something that is not true, and that is bound to make you unhappy... (so, it is best to avoid/ignore the omens altogether!)

I haven't watched OSO... So, you say that the dialogue stands out... it is obviously a direct rip-off from the book; but does the dialogue not substantiate the story of OSO??

@Bold, blue: I agree! 😃

I might just read it, who knows. I have never set too much score by omens, because I have experienced quite false omens too. In general though, I've found when I get my hopes high too much for something, I always end up getting disappointed. So, I've kinda stopped worrying so much about these things. You work hard, and hope for the best. If it is meant to be, it will happen. If it doesn't work, then it probably wasn't meant to be. 😃
