Oh ok, that makes me feel much better because I suck at Math in every way. I am illiterate when it comes to Business and the fields associated with it, so I am looking up majors related with it and the courses required for each. Also on Tuesday, I will see a professionals advisor, but I am sure he/she won't assist me much because I have dealt with them before. It seems like they really despise their jobs and don't really offer much assistance. The best way to get opinions is ask people who are already in Law, so I need to look up friends/family who are in Law School or are already lawyers.

This is a rant. I hate it in general when friends you have known for 7-8 years and we are talking about close friends that live in another city start to insecure and jealous over your other friends. Somewhere I try to understand it but I really fail to get it. How many explanations can you give? Shouldn't there be some form of understanding? Some form of trust especially when you know the person for so long. I understand somewhere every person is insecure but I view this as a matter of trust.

It just leaves me fuming when they naturally assume in correct things such as "Oh, wait I thought she was more important than me". Sigh.

I hate that as well, GG, but I guess it's part of human nature. It usually happens with your best friends, that you confide with, and for whatever reason, be it distance, or that you found new friends, or you changed, that the friendship starts to change, and you cannot help but feel a little insecure, or even a little hostile towards the change. It's normal, I guess, but if it starts to become a daily taunt, and downright destructive, than it's better to walk out of that friendship.

Friends' come and go, but your family is the one that will stay with you your whole life. You'll seldom find friends that will stick to you for the rest of your life. I don't know of anyone who has such friends.

Zainab, unless you're going into medicine, dentistry or optometry, sciences are pretty much useless. The only thing you're going to be doing with a science degree is research. Why don't you take some Business courses and decide what you like? There's an infinite field of possibilities.

The only reason why I ever stepped foot into business was because I wanted to work for a movie studio. I know I know. So I went into Marketing, thinking that I would land a job in the marketing dept. of a movie studio, which would be a dream come true. But now that I'm in business, I loathe Marketing, and found myself really enjoying Accounting, Operations Management, etc. I love to learn though. My interests range from psychology, to architecture, to even Quantum physics. I think I can find just about anything enjoyable, except for engineering. Blech.

I agree with you Soha. Family is one that will stay with you for your entire life for both up's and down's plus family never holds grudges despite an argument. I think friends make a lot of promises while some are there for a long time but many get busy with their own life as well.

It's my best friend and I was hesitant to write it earlier but this has happened quite a few times now. I haven't been insecure yet and I guess somewhere I'm expecting the same in return. We have been best friends for 8 years now. I know we will survive though. Hope so at least.

What exactly is the issue?

Basically, I don't get insecure with regards to friendships, or create a fuss, because I know sooner or later, that friendship will dissolve. Like I siad, I don't think I've heard of anyone having friends from birth to death. People come and go throughout your life, might as well make the most of it.
