@Adi2: Angels and Demons is next on my agenda- its suspense right? Like nail biting , intense suspense? I couldn't read Da VInci Code coz I already knew the suspense, my friend gave out the spoiler

Yup..Angels n Demons is good...My fingers are itching to type away the spoiler here *evil grin*...u should read Da Vinci Code despite the spoiler!!it isnt the same with reading the book and watching the movie.i actually felt the palpable suspense throughout the book...but couldnt bring myself to relate to the drab movie, despite all the "suspaanse" the director tried to recreate...i felt like watching a funeral throughout the movie.it was like the Harry Potter movies with blue hue and dull lighting...incidentally my mum liked the movie, despite me having given her the spoilers.

Oddly enough, I want to read more of Jane Austen's books because of that very reason- I like the British English.

EDIT:

Bye Adi!

Adi2, I don't think I can ever read Da Vinci Code, like I said I could never go beyond reading a few pages somehow 😆 but I will read Angels n Demons, its on my agenda now ;)

i had started reading the Eragon series..left it half way...not that i dont like it....i WANT to read it...but i dont have the patience...LOL...

adi...howz LOTR??...the size of the book is scary...

hey u reminded me..i was about to read the Eragon series, but eggjhams came in the way..
as for LOTR...i finished the first couple of chapters till he half disappears with the ring and felt like deja vu[i felt it was Harry Potter all over again] ..only it failed to grip me with its suspense...it was a marathon dragathon if u ask me.maybe it picks up pace later, but as far as im concerned,im better off with the movie[at least its 2 hours of torture]

yeah,Murder on the Orient Express was the first Hercules Poirot book id read..Agatha Christie's own death was just like one of her books...she simply disappeared from the face of the earth...like poof!it remains a mystery till date...i salute her!
as for the other non Hercule Poirot books,i liked the Seven Dials mystery. The girl Bundle Brent was as big a goofball as I am...so i sorta identified with her😆😆😆

I only read Pelican brief by John Grisham and that was an excellent book, then I tried to read the Firm and stopped midway, the drama was too boring plus his books are bit too technical with the law jargon for me to follow.

interesting...i would love to read a book on MPD...good recommendation..i read "time to kill" by john grisham..it was okay i guess...btw,adi if u like vampires and witches,u should read the two part "Doppelganger" series by Marie Brennan...i read it last year...decent read.heres the book cover:

ha ha..my cousin bought it...and hid it under his bed[guess he was ashamed about reading the crap]...when i found it,he hid it from my view...i guess that fuelled me to continue reading it till i actually finished it..now that is what i call self inflicted torture
