Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm back after 5 hours of sleep and feeling fresh as a daisy...well not like I was not feeling the same prior to the last five hours :P

Ok some random sentiments from my side after reading the books you all discussed...

I'm with Adi2. Angels and Demons by Dan Brown was absolutely fantastic. Really a page turner. And generally I loathe movies that are based on books but even the movie that was released based on this book was totally awesome. But I believe one should read the book before watching the movie because you will be (partially) lost throughout otherwise. The book is indeed gripping and a must read for everyone who enjoys good mystery-thriller novels. Although The Da Vinci Code wasn't too bad I of prefer this one better. :D

Kavz, The Kite Runner is a MUST MUST MUST read. It is one of the BEST books I have ever come across. The story, the characters, the plot, everything about the book just grasps you & makes you feel every single emotion of the protagonist and the other characters. I've read the book about 4 times now and I cried every single time (lets ignore the fact that I'm pretty emotional :P). But it seriously is such a gripping story. The movie that was based on this book was so freakin pathetic & seriously could not capture the essence of the book. I can't recommend this book enough if you enjoy reading fiction. It is not about faries and ghosts and murders et al, it is a heart warming story about friendship & life. *sigh*

LOL...and Adi2 stop crying your dukhda and gimme the links to the Stephanie Plum book. I have nothing better to do these holidays, may as well get down to reading something decent...I'm trusting your choice since you & I both liked Angels and Demons :). And ermmmmm...you mentioned 'Devil Wears Prada' < it was alright to an extent. The protagonist was similar to Betty from that show ''Ugly Betty''. Not ugly, but totally unaware of what ''fashion'' means. It was an alright read until I got to the end....the end was soooo freakin ridiculous and lame. Never thought the ending would be such a huge phoos bomb. Ugh! Don't know if I have the strength to read a book by the author of that one.

Haha...did someone mention "Emma"??? It was a part of our english course in the final year of high school. NOBODY...absolutely NOBODY got through that book. The hi-fi 1800s english was too much for us to tolerate. I read the plot on Wikipedia and even game my exam based on what I understood from the Wiki synopsis. :P....How much ever a book may be deemed a classic by the world, for some us, it is worse than 3rd degree torture :P:P:P

Adi1, olah...that White Tiger book sounds alright. I'll try and hunt for it. :)

BTW has anyone here read 'Q & A' by Vikas Swarup???
