And just when i thought a truce was going on which atleast i assumed came in when the mods stepped in and we were all going to follow the rules set...

One thing that i don't understand is, people knew how it feels when personal info is leaked, they knew that its wrong and suddenly one fine day and lets note without any provocation at all decided to leak another members information? just to poke fun? Seriously i didn't expect this out of my fellow IFians. But every day we live and learn.

Thanks Mods the rule is needed. I definitely don't want my personal info on a forum for people to read.

I cant defend whatever was done, because it wasnt me who did it, and because I know how it feels.

But it sucks to have been the first to deal with this dont you think? A lot of frustration happened because of that one incident, but people always only care if the thing happened to someone they loved.

no one cared when my info was leaked....all of the sudden, everyones against it since someone who they knew had it happen to them?

Whatever, I dont want sympathy, i just want to shed some enlightenment.

And im sincerely sorry for whoevers info was leaked.

what i meant was exactly what i wanted to .... Om_Peace said exactly what i wanted to.... why is the same thing thing done over and over.. when we know how it hurts to be in that situation!!!

can i know whats going on this time? if its not too big of a problem? last time i was in the blue while the situation was being addressed for over 3 months....im kinda sick of it.

Oh i agree no one's info should be leaked. That someone did this before is news to me. I agree that doing it under any circumtances is wrong but i still would like to understand what happened before also

Because this time what happened was pure spite and nothing else. Was there any provocation given, was it done by mistake - NO. Just to poke fun the other person decided oh let me leak this info. For me that speaks volumes.

For now i would say the first action is delete the content in those posts so that the data is not available any more. That is definitely the first step. The why's wherefores etc can be discussed later.

@ OM_Peace: Don't worry mate the data was deleted as soon as the CC Dev. team was notified about it but one thing I want to emphasize here is that it doesn't matter whether there was any provocation or not. Releasing one's personal info DOES NOT require anything except pure malice. Just because I might provoke someone DOES NOT give them the right to release my personal information on a public forum. There are absolutely no reasons behind this disgusting act and nothing can ever justify it.

There was provocation, and that was the incident that happened with me. The fact that you know nothing of it amuses me.

But I am NOT stadnding up for the person who did this. No cirscumstance justifies giving away someones address/whereabouts......none at all. so i'll even dismiss the provocation, i just included it to answer your question.

anyway....i hope the person has better luck than i did. or just that whoever is responsible is punished the exact same way trina1 was....and that way,( as of right now) happens to be nothing.
