the scenario is complicated... my roomie had issues and needed to find a house imemdiately while i was cooling my heels at a friends place..i okayed any house she chose..and it became the next building lol

haha double standards indeed..sometimes i can be blunt(its true..lol)..his ex is also a friend of mine..she made a suicide attempt after he broke up with her... i was so furious...he rejected her because she was not "fresh"..now he is a used product... nt only used..he is a rotten product.... i told him never to go enar another girl and that he is as bad as sewage and has too much of double standards 😃

I respect both of your ideas. But yes, that is true. You are a grad student so you are busy, but maybe through extracurricular clubs/activities, you might find someone. Usually, it is unintentional people meet someone through a friend's friend or through a class, I think it is hard to anticipate these things.

nimmi, you are right. Being single for a long time gets kind of old. Since most of my friends are not. My best male friend is actually dating one of my closest female friends. So sometimes I am a perpetual kabab mein haddi.

I was with my ex for 4 years and in the last year it was long distance and so it got to be very taxing. Now I might move after I finish college so I feel pursuing something now would be kind of pointless.

No worries, Soha. Uh no, because I have not gone anywhere other than campus for a long time. Not enough time for me to even go to a video rental place. Just have been watching things I recorded off television and finding online. The title is cheesy, sure. But from what I hear no toilet humor, actually well-rounded female characters, which is good. The fact that roller derby is actually shown and it doesn't focus on the romance, which isn't a subplot and doesn't define the main character. Also, I hear that Bliss (played by Alia Shawkat) from Arrested Development is a great character with some depth to her. Also, the fact that it isn't your typical run of the mill comedy and doesn't relegate to the caricatures of your typical bro comedy (Appatow, bish plz) and rom com that tries to make women appear as crazy, stable beings that can't live without a man. Something that just shows a typical coming of age film with good writing is something worth supporting. Of course, it didn't get the love at the box-office, which is sad, but what can you do?
