yea it's quite late here, 4:45 a.m to be precise 😆 Saturday tomorrow will sleep all day 😛 and I live all alone so it's me and my tanhai all the time...don't have no roomies to keep me company which is why I'm on Adda all the time 😊

"Dastangoi is the art of reciting dastans, traditional romantic epics that are related to the 1001 Arabian Nights and Panchatantra.

This form of story telling was popular during the Mughal era , reaching its pinnacle in the late 19th century and early 20th century.These performances are rendered by Dostangos who are clad in the traditional angrakha who sit on white divan surrounded by cushions on both sides and flanked by silver bowls.

These dastans are very entertaining and have all the masala of any film.They are recited by the Dastangos without leaving their seats.During the 19th century the dastans were performed orally as well as they were written , one such is the Dastan-e-Amir Hamza which runs into 46 volumes of 900 pages each which narrates the exploits of Amir Hamza."
