Wow dude theres more here than at the shop!!! Lol, that's because I thought it'd be too repetitive if I posted all in the shop. Glad you like! Thanks a lot Loli!๐ณ๐ And I'm madly in love with all of them!!! Wonder why we don't do more with little RadheShyam, they're so adorable ๐ It's never too late to start ,eh? I too loooove them ,they're so cute! But this is a perfect start... I esp love the second to last one with the perky pinkness... but they're all awesome, this template biz is very cool... in fact can we put one of these in our romantic slideshow? I want one... but I can't even narrow it down cuz they're so pretty! can't wait to see more!!! Thanks! Will post more when I get the chance. Choose which one you like best and we can use it in the slideshow. Thanks again for your super sweet comments Loli!๐ณ
And the new saba avi's lovely, lol everyone else is teary while RadheShyam are partying it up... sweet choices ๐Thanks! These are some of my fav scenes,๐especially the last avi of Swarna Sita. I just loooove the golden statue so much, it looks very similar to Deepika and the whole position of it looks like a vigraha from a temple.๐ And of course, the Maharaas and Lakhan/Urmi's reunion is too sweet to pass up, and the Hanuman/Ram/Sita scene reminds me of the Hanuman Chalisa.๐ณ

Wow, didn't even notice this post till now.๐ Thanks a loooooot for translating Loli!
Most welcome hon anytime... lol I rushed right into it soon as I saw your post yesterday, so much for that sleep you advised ๐ can't resist though, cuz as I do the lyrics I get the songs stuck in my head for the next day - which makes for a much better day than when my brain radio is playing something like culo or candy shop ๐
Yeah, most of this is the same with the subtitles in my DVDs, but I can definitely see some differences too. Your translations are so much sweeter and meaningful.๐
aww thanks hon... I try to make them less formal and when there are phrases specific to Hindi that don't make for a good literal translation (the whole Maa ka anchal=mother's veil line comes to mind, prob makes for a wierd subtitle ๐), I try to sub with an American expression that means the same thing... example: man bhaavan = heart charmer, but prince charming fits the connotation a tad better right right right ๐ so, thanks for liking my "technique" ๐
God, I always feel sooooo emotional when I listen to the part of Sitaji's sufferings, and Swapnil and Mayuresh's pro acting and expressions, along with the singers' melodious voices make it soooo realistic!๐ I am so glad RS did not give LuvKush girly voices during the songs like Rishabh Sharma (Kush) and Perin Monish Malde (Luv) in NDTV Ramayan. I really loved the Luv Kush songs from NDTV too (though old is gold of course, but RJ's lyrics are ever eternal no matter in what serial), but the girly voices totally ruined the effect for me. Did you feel the same?
Yeah I too get all crumple-faced and weepy, esp during the slower "avadh mein aisa" part (the speedier lines at the end where they describe her chopping wood and such, I actually smile at cuz it's such girl power inspiring goodness )... and much of it is thanks to the powerful voices of Kavita Krishnamurthy (the female voice in NDTV's title song, Maharaas, the start of Kampit Charan, Na Jaane Tose, Sita's lullaby, one of the ones in Siya Raghuvarji Ke Sang and Gori ManBhaavan, and Sita's lullaby among other favs of ours from our mythos, as well as tons of Bolly hits from the 80s through now... remember Dola Re from Devdas??) and Hemlata (sung almost everything in both shows, from Sita's Gauri Stuti, to her Swayamvar songs, her voice in Yahi Raat Antim and the first Vidhna Tere Lekh, to... wait for it... Soja Lalla! And in movies, she sang mostly RJ's compositions throughout the '70s for which she even won Filmfare Awards).
I agree, the squeaky voices he chose for NDTV were not nearly as effective; though the classic version had female voices too they were mature - and being well-trained, experienced hit singers, they were better about getting the mood across... but then again among today's crop of hit singers, there are few who can handle an RJ composition anyway. It's understandable that he chose unknowns, but should probably have picked older ones - you and I ๐ ๐
I totally don't mind the repeat tunes he used bcuz for me they just serve as a reminder of the old stuff - and any kind of reminder of them makes me happy ๐ and he can't help but write perfect, meaningful lyrics, especially for devotional music...
but idk if you can tell, maybe you can after using similar lines from the old version and the new one in sigs and stuff, he's gotten much wordier now than he was for our classics - the meaning that he used to establish in five words, he now conveys in like twenty... in some ways it makes the meaning clear, cuz I know from doing these translations that the fewer the words, the more blanks you have to fill in yourself, the more variety there is in different people's interpretations of the exact translation... but after doing it once or twice, you kinda prefer the guessing game method of the old lyrics over the new ones which baby you with every little detail and grammatical perfection, because by stretching it out he made the lines less symmetrical and catchy - in making it more understandable for the audience, he made the rhythm less tight so musically, I find it less appealing... now I sound like the English teacher ๐ but you know what I mean jellybean??Do you know who the singers were for Luv and Kush in old Ramayan?
from the above granny rant, you already know ๐
