i dont really agree with anyone here..because i feel that invite only cc's start way more problems than chat clubs that are open to everyone because no one wants to feel unwanted and out of place and for a lot of people who are new , it must be really hard since they cant start their own without making friends(they can make freinds in other forums but it isnt necessary that they visit other forums makybe they joined I-F to make friends), and there's only about a couple of chat clubs in the forum who allow everyone to chat with them..i think chat clubs should be open to anyone but people shouldnt just barge in because i dont understand how everyone else feels when they say it is a place to talk with their friends. i dont think people should have to be invited...instead they should have to ask for permission before chatting.

^^ point noted. I remember, when I was a really new member I popped in here and all I saw was Invites Only and I popped back out. 😆

So in solution to that, (like I mentioned in my first post, I just like to repeat myself 😆) would the mods be able to open a CC as a sticky? That is open to not just members of the CC forum, but members of IF through out? I think that would be a great way to meet more people. :)

I like your idea. So the newbies get to talk but we wont have to sacrifice our CC's 😃

I wouldn't call it sacrificing. 😆 But yeah, basically. :D

Just if anyone is confused by what I meant, I don't mean a CC just for newbies. I mean like, everyone can come and hang out and rant and chat aimlessly. 😆

YES.........I strongly feel that Invite Only CC's should be allowed.

While some of you may say that there are issues you want to share with only friends, the purpose of IF and CC is for people to make friends and chat freely. As such, this invites only thing goes against our value.

Also, it can be pretty daunting for new comers to come in and make friends when all the clubs are invite only, etc.

On the other hand, having Invite Only CC's infact facilitates being able to chat freely and make new friends. I'm part of two Invite Only CC's, and I was introduced to those CCs through friends that I met at the discussion forums. Invite Only CCs are a close knit group of people who have the same mindset and who trust each other's judgement about new people coming from the discussion forums. When I was introduced to AAL, an Invite Only CC, I was warmly welcomed into the group by all other members as if I had known them since years. I never felt this welcomed by any group of people at the open threads. So Invite Only CC's are a much better way of making new friends, and from my experience making friends who are almost like a second family.

As for chatting freely, Invite Only CCs are the only way to chat freely at India Forums. I do not want to get involved into an "intellectual argument" everytime I come to IF. Invite Only CCs are my chill out place at IF, where I can infact chat freely with a group people who I know have the same mindset as me, where I don't have to deal with counter arguments and all sorts of disagreements and fights. When I do have time and I am in the mood for a healthy debate, then yes I often post at the main discussion forums too. But generally I like having my Invite Only CCs to chill out.

For new comers, I don't think that the experience can be daunting because when I came in as a newcomer, I didn't even know that CCs exist. I was happy posting comments and talking to random people at the discussion forums. Over a period of time, I made some good friends at the discussion forum who I would end up talking to almost every day. Infact not knowing about Invite Only CCs as a newcomer was daunting because I'd keep thinking...what the hell, why do some people always have to come in with their disagreements and constantly want to have a fight😕, I don't have that much vela time to be engaging in disagreements everyday. And then some of my friends invited me to their Invite Only CCs, and I was like .....wow this is heaven, here I don't have to deal with people who constantly disagree with me. So Invite Only CCs were actually least daunting for a newcomer like me.

I would request the Mods to let us continue with Invite Only CCs, because honestly if I have to deal with random strangers on an every day basis and their "healthy debates and disagreements", I'd stay away from IF and stick to websites like Facebook that do allow Invite Only Groups.

In the end I just like to say that ....INVITE ONLY CCs ARE THE BEST WAY TO

-Make new friends

-Chat freely

- Not feel intimidated at India Forums

And hence are in line with the values of India Forums👍🏼

Now, i'm doing something different by asking for your views. Please do give your views as well in comments. However, NO ATTACKING OTHER MEMBERS.

While i'm asking your views, do note that FINAL DECISION BELONGS WITH THE DEV TEAM. Just because I ask your views does NOT mean i will have to decide based on it. I'm doing something different that not others may have done and i'm hoping you support my liberal and new approach.

Well…. Ppl hav been naming der CC Invites Only coz the want only ppl whom dey want to join…….ppl normally form CC after getting interacted in forums or articles etc etc……….😳

I m also part of a CC…… which has a heading Invites Only……. We started with 4 ppl then…..now we r almost 40 members der….. 😉

They just entered into da CC n asked Kan I join ???? we hav gladly accepted dem all…… so I don't think our CC is Invites Only…….. being named invites only………😆😆😆

And if u ask me as a new comer….. I will think thousand times b4 entering into an Invite CC…….I don't mind if this is withdrawn from Chat Club !!!!! 🤔
