Pyaasa is one of my favourite films. In fact I have liked most of his films. Kaagaz ke phool and Sahib Bibi Ghulam, to name a few. I believe even CID starring Dev Anand was under his banner.

thats very lovely poem ..robins...and..they remind me of melody and their songs.......and woods....
and yes skepy guru dutt directed and produced CID infact it is this film where...he introduced waheeda ..who did not play main lead but second lead....in film ..he wa sindeed legendary person ..my favourite apart from pyaasa is...Mr and Mrs 55 its hillarious and lovely songs..😳

Actually, he was to take Dev Anand in Mr & Mrs 55. But DA had soe date problem and so Guru D cast himself. Lalita Pawar as the feminist aunt was a new and bold thing for those times.

u know skepy in our university , we had cinema where they used to play classical films once in while....soem one brought this one and every one went to see being all skidish ..that it is old film bla bla.....while film was playing in lalita pawaar's scene a guy shouts here comes MRs. Bains( she was dean of home science wing and had banned boys from the road in front of that collge😆😆😆) bus phir kya tha ...film got super hit at university and students saw it multiple times......it was such wow film..and am happy that guru dutt cast himself.......in film ...even for pyaasa though dilip kumar would have justified the role of vijay too😃
