Once again, I''ll start of by saying how much I enjoy Mona Singh on screen. Her bubbly personality and vibrant energy electrifies the entire show. Perhaps that's why I found it so enjoyable. Her jokes were hilarious, and blunt at the same time (especially those regarding KSG). Move over, Shweta. She has no charm or wit and Mona Singh would put life into an otherwise boring show. I'm also glad they replaced Shiv. Rohit Roya is so charming, it's like he was born to anchor.
Hard Kaur was fantastic as usual. I've gotten used to her blowing everyone out of the water each time. I wish she would venture outside of the punjabi/hip hope radius, but she's fantastic nonetheless. And she looked so lovely. It's so nice to seeMonca Bedi was mediocre at most. Her performance was completely forgettable.
AS Sonia said, Karan looks like an amateur dancing at a party. He's punjabi, innit? I was expecting him to do some major dhamaka, but his performance was a total phoos bomb. His choreography was absolutely mediocre! The 'acrobats' were nice, but I was scared for his lungi to come off. I bet all his fans were anticipating such a waldrobe malfunction, LOL! It's really so sad that he will take the cake, despite being an incredibly weak dancer amongst a flock of incredibly talented dancers.
I surprisingly liked Bhagayshree's dance. The choreography was highly innovative and refresingly original, and Bhagayshree carried it off like a professional. The twirling manouver was very clever and well executed. I expected her to recieve higher marks, but then again, it only further emphasizes the lack of consistancy from the judges. Saroj Khan's typical comment: ab bohat acha nache...
I loved Anand Raj Anand's energy, but I felt his dance was below my expectations. I remember Karishma Tanna and Bakhtayar Irani danced to this south song in ZND, and they absolutely OWNED everyone. I think that has to be one of the greatest dance performances I've yet to see on television. ARA's choroegrapher was really dull for such a 'dhamakedar' song. ARA really needs to work on moving his torso. Only his legs and arms are moving, the rest of the body is so stiff. I didn't enjoy his performance.
I couldn't even stay awake during Mohinder's and the magician's performance, but I recall their performance being horrid, so I came to IF instead, LOL.
Ram, 27!? HE CAN'T DANCE. His performance was AWFUL and the coordination was off. It's clear that the points were given for the entertainment factor only. Dudes, this isn't comedy circus. THIS IS A DANCE COMPETITION. DON'T GIVE HIM MARKS UNTIL HE CAN DANCE. I'm praying he doesn't get in, because he doesn't deserve it. He will be thrown out next week anyway, so what's the point? Also, is his wife pregnant?
Now to Gauhar, boy oh boy, she deserves every word of praise and every bit of her marks. She's absolutely SENSATIONAL! Saroj is right, she's incredibly graceful. Not only was the entire act refresingly original, but whoa, did you see how she moved?! It was no doubt a very complex choreography (and highly innovative at that). Gauhar seems like the ONLy professional dancer amongst a group of amateurs. If she isn't brought back, there is no justice. She never ceases to exceed my expectations. And her expressions? Man she just oozes with talent.
Shilpa is also a fantastic dancer, and she has got the spunk needed for her performance. I wasn't too impressed with Parul, she cannot move her upper body. And also, if Baichung doesn't want to commit to this show, then he should be kicked out. What's up with him not showing up?!
Bottom line? My favorite performance in the entire season was Gauhar and himanshu's. If she doesn't get voted back in, then India has officially lost it.
