as for the texture, u can't do it in animation shop...well u can but it would take a horribly long time. Do it in image ready how u would add any other effect to it... open up ur avi and open up the texture. Paste the texture all the way to the top of the avi. Set it to whatever u want (like screen etc). Then save. It should show up on all the frames.

u dragged it all the way to the top right?
then set it to screen (in the blend modes place)...and then sometimes it takes a minute to work...if that doesnt work then try a different blend mode and see if that works. If not then we'll try something else. And post a screen shot of it if u can so i can see wht's going on.
