So I'm here after ages and am writing this because I keep feeling from time to time that it is something I don't say enough. The fact that I love SwaRon as much as I do today has in a large part to do with the way Sharon has been written and then portrayed by Vrushika and how that writing and portrayal have resurrected a love story that had begun to fade within a complexity that went beyond what was happening on my screen. I respect and love Vrushika for the SwaRon she made possible in 2013 and 2014. And I respect and love Shantanu for being the Swayam I have always loved and for making his part in SwaRon impeccable for all three years. 😃
But this post of mine is dedicated specially to Vrushika, and to the Sharon she has given me and to all SwaRon fans, really. She has traversed all the facets we knew of Sharon since the beginning and has helped us uncover more dimensions to her too: I, for one, always wanted to see a head-over-heels-in-love Sharon and Vrushika has shown me the most endearing version of that possible. I feel so good that even the writers have declared how they've been able to explore Sharon wonderfully with her, and it is amazing how she has played each of those facets so well over time: complex when she was trying to push Swayam away during the asthma track, clear and confident when she finally admitted her love for him in front of his father in a way that made him nearly trip off his treadmill LOL, complex again when she refused to acknowledge her relationship with Swayam before the college in a moment of weakness and fear all the way to unconditionally loving when she became his Secret Admirer and the way she is now. And of course not to forget the Diva, which I think is one facet of Sharon's personality that Vrushika grasped the quickest and has kept intact throughout. Harsh, happy, sad, very-much-in-love, all this coexists with her Diva personality seamlessly till date. You don't have to be a bitch to be the Diva Sharon is and always was, after all, and I've always thought Vrushika pulled off that balance between attitude and vulnerability very well ever since her first scene. This is the Sharon I have always known and loved, with all facets and dimensions in one brilliantly rounded character. Kudos to Palki ma'am and Priya ma'am and even the present writers to some little extent, and of course to Vrushika for keeping up her end so well. 👏
I've been a bit irregular in watching D3 for the last few weeks, and from whatever I have seen and heard of the writing happening on it nowadays - SwaRon and otherwise - I don't think I've actually missed much. But one thing I've noticed even in the midst of all this is how much Vrushika has grown as an actress. There was a time when I used to think emotional scenes that require Sharon to be agitated are her weakest point, but today I can say with no little amount of pride that she has improved by leaps and bounds in those as well, especially in terms of dialogue delivery. Touchwood for her and I hope she keeps working hard and keeps conquering all her weak points like this with elan.
LOVE Sharon, LOVE Vrushika and LOVE SwaRon/VruShan. ❤️
