In response to your logical thinking here's some logical thinking from my side: The Raabta week also saw a hike in TVTs. And that is fact. And speaking for myself, I liked that week and therefore got interested to see what the week that followed it would bring, hoping to see some more like the Raabta sequence. Perfectly reasonable and logical assumption on the part of any fan. So, if there are more like me would it really be surprising if they got interested and began to watch again too?
Also, like many have already pointed out, nothing grabs an Indian audience like drama. And last week was indeed largely about Swayam-Sharon-Ruhi drama - Sharon-Ruhi challenge, Ruhi hurting herself, Sharon almost revealing her truth but failing blah blah. So yes, drama. And drama revolving around SwaRon and Ruhi. Yes I was disappointed as a SwaRon fan with the lack of SwaRon, but I cannot deny that this track interested me ONLY because it offered and still offers me a scope for SwaRon scenes. It's enough to make me watch.
Lastly, if you read the topic properly you'll realise that the TM is simply saying he/she is happy the numbers are good at the time of a SwaRon-centric track. He/she is saying nothing about who didn't contribute to the TVTs. Maybe Rey's revelation did too. Sure. But that was, after all, one day out of five. And on Monday and Tuesday Rey wasn't there at all. Hence the idea that the week was LARGELY centered around SwaRon. Not too illogical, I'd say. 😊
