Not just due to competitiveness, entertainment industry particularly in India count heavily on relations, communications and recommendations... many times people with less talent reach coz they r good in the above mentioned while who has better things to show disappear coz they lack the above mentioned...

Perticularly in India, u won't find a director who discovers unique actors or present unique ideas... just imitating or repeating what buys better with less cost to audience...

Shantanu is a unique actor... I'm inspired to write new stories after watching him and his acting, the thing that doesn't happen with other actors because they just simple copy past of each other and of hollywood actors... but I can tell he won't find new projects after D3 because the vision of the industry members is very limited... using the same old equation won't cost time or effort the way exploring new lines and ideas, being creative, does... so why to utilize ur mind in creativity?!!
