First of all, I wish you people "Happy Women's Day!"😃
On this very special day, I really want to thank Channel [v] for giving us the show called Dil Dosti Dosti and for giving us two strong woman characters like Kriya and Sharon. :D
I would also thank Palki, Charou Singhal and Priya Ramanathan for giving us such characters, where we could easily relate ourselves with them. Though its a fiction show, the characters doesn't seem to be fictional. They are more realistic just like our friends. These female leads represents everything of a woman.
Well, My personal favorite is Sharon Rai Prakash. 😳She is just a perfect example of a modern woman. Very Very Unpredictable yet does everything in a PERFECT way! She is Practical, Impulsive , Emotive, Passionate, Smart ,Strong and at times, Adamant too! But never mind, as long as Swayam is there. LOL. And yes! A BIG thank you to the channel [v], for experimenting with these type of shows. 👍🏼 Really looking forward to Sharon, in the coming week because, we can see another different shade of her.

Shakti Mohan, Sneha Kapoor and Vrushika Mehta were absolutely FAB in bringing out the characters strength and weakness in front of us. They did an AAMZING job too.

As Shantanu Maheswari said in the recent article , "Every day is a women's day for me. I don't think one single day is enough to celebrate the cause of womanhood". 😃Yes! I do believe, one single day isn't enough to celebrate it but I am grabbing this as an opportunity to thank all the women of D3, for making D3 stand where it is right now! and I don't think this would possible without you people. So yes! Here's wishing them "Happy Women's Day!"

The edit credit goes to Purvi. Thank you so much for this, Purvi!

"Every day is a women's day for me. I don't think one single day is enough to celebrate the cause of womanhood". Completely agree with Shantanu here. But still I would like to wish every woman out there whether here on forum, or on the show or any where else a Happy Women's Day. Hopefully you all had a day just like yourself - really special.

Coming to the rest of the post. Completely agree with each word there. In the world of Indian television where female leads are the silent sufferer and the cry babies; Kriya and Sharon were breath of fresh air. Both were fighters, with an attitude to get what they want. Most importantly they were not damsel in distress needing their knights in shining Armour to save them for every problem coming there way. And I respect them for that. They are truest representation of modern woman. Both are an inspiration for not just women out there but for everyone.

But among those two I really really love the character of Sharon. Now where do I begin about Sharon. She is imperfect and that's what make her perfect. She is as you said Unpredictable, Practical, Impulsive , Emotive, Passionate, Smart ,Strong and at times, Adamant too! And that's what make her real and endearing to me. Because these are qualities which make her stand out among the herd. These are the qualities which make her a leader and not a follower. And these are qualities which makes me love Sharon more and more each day.

A big thank you to the creatives and writers - Palki Malhotra, Charou Singhal and Priya Ramanathan for conceptualizing character like Sharon and Kriya. And channel V to go along with their vision. And off course Sneha, Vrushika and Shakti who immortalized these characters with their performances. And off course I wish them - Happy Women's Day.

Happy Women's day to you too and Awesome post :)
Though what Shantanu said is apt and its no single day that we can take from our calendar and celebrate the greatness of being women 😳 but now that its celebrated world wide on this day I Would like to thank Channel V and all the women who are behind D3 and its success.

Kriya and Sharon are quintessentially today's modern women who are independent, strong and most importantly REAL.. They are just like people i know..
Sneha Kapoor, Sakthi Mohan and Vrushika Mehta have done great justice in playing this fictional character with such conviction that i take this opportunity to thank each one of them.

I don't follow any Indian show other then D3 and its the first and only one that i watch..so won't say that they are different but with what lil knowledge i have gathered from IF i most certainly can say they are the most unique characters and shows Women in the right light.

Sharon Rai Prakash is one of the best woman characters I have come across in the world of fiction. She is just so REAL, with the amount of passion and determination she has for everything she loves, be it her friends, her dance or her love. She gets rude, she gets arrogant, she blushes when her man expresses his love for her or teases her, she fights for what she believes in, she leads, she inspires so much, she rules.
There are just SO many layers to this lady, I cannot even begin to describe the immense amount of beauty this lady is. :')

Love Sharon Rai Prakash so much. Thank you Cinevistaas for bringing in such strong, modern, relatable and so different characters like Sharon and Kriya on Indian television, it badly needed these two ladies to save the falling grace of women on Indian TV. Hope we get to see many more layers of her character because this lady right here is stunning.

And Sahasra, what an awesome post mate. A very happy woman's day to all of you! Cheers! :D

Initially I thought Sharon is the vamp of the show. But slowly she turned into a positive character. As you all said her imperfections and unpredictability make her an interesting character to watch.

She is the woman close to reality. Happy Women's Day

Dats a beautiful post Sahasra!! Thanks for it.. D3 has rly two very beautiful characters- Sharon nd Kriya.. Both of them represent every facet of modern woman... Who dont weep nd crib but stand up for themselves and lead an independent life.. In indian television where women r shown as nothing but damsel in distress nd delivering OTT dialogues all the time.. Sharon nd Kriya came out sumthng as afresh whom we can actually relate nd look upto... Both hav different personalities but both are fearless, ambitious, independent nd represent modern woman in every aspect... Though I'm not a Kriya fan but rly lykd her will power nd thirst to stand out among everybody... Sharon is my favorite among dese two.. Dis woman leads her lyf her own way.. Hav her priorities... Loves her friends, has passion, z ambitious nd ya fearless... Even though she hardcore from outsyd she z vulnerable.. Along wit all dese she has some confusions, some fears, some insecurities... Wich all of us also hav.. She feels good when her man praises her... Feels lyk a princess wen he showers his love over her... Feels sad when he z upset wit her... Aren't dese characters a part of all us.. Women.. Dese two women r realistic.. Who actually exists sum way or d other within us.. Thanks to Channel V nd Dil Dosti Dance creatives for giving us such beautiful characters...
Nd Happy Women's Day to all..
