I know I often tend to drag on and on with my topics, but what I want to say today is fairly simple and won't take long. I'm inspired to write in here today after quite a while, because for the first time tonight, I saw a dimension to a character that came as a very pleasant surprise to me. Swayam is someone I have always know as the lover and as the friend. But tonight gave me my first glimpse into where that lover, that friend and that person comes from...his life before and beyond college, his family, and his childhood experience that has moulded him to be who and what he is today. That conversation with Rey, where he spoke about his father for the first time, was very unexpected and VERY good to watch, for me. Sudha has already described the way his character shone out through this scene in her topic, so I won't repeat what has already been quite wonderfully stated. But I do just want to say to the writers of D3, that I really appreciated this. Swayam is one of my two most favourite characters on the show, and it is exactly this sort of thing that makes it so...that there are dimensions to him, a certain depth to what he is and who he is, and it just helps me discover more of him, get to know him better, and love him better too. Isn't that part of the beauty of storytelling? 😊

Thank you, CVs.

It indeed came as a pleasant surprise
Thanks to the writers and the CV's to keep an close eye on who the character Swayam is. He is always shown so sensible and thoughtful and though i was initially apprehensive about why he left the room the way he did, it all was nicely justified.
The lil glimpse we got of him beyond his college life, beyond his thoughts on Sharon was a big plus. Even though he said it out loud today this has always been a part of him. He doesn't thing high of winning when it comes at the cost of showing others as losers, i love how thoughtful he is as person.
Thank you CV's i hope they keep this balance in all the coming episodes and explore this new dimensions.
Hope to see SwaRon become a part of this new found beginning of Swayam's character real soon.

Well a brilliant post Nandini. It was indeed a pleasant surprise to see depth of Swayam's character handled so maturedly. It was indeed an awesome moment for me to see what had made him what he is and what drives him today. Nicely done. His pov about winning and competitions were something which would make anyone to halt and give a thought to it. Good to see a topic justifying Swayam's character and giving us a new insight into him being shown here. Wonderfully done CV's. Loved this episode.
