The Proposal (kriyaansh)

4. Candle Night Dinner 'Check!

6. Ring- ???
Rey shot his head up from the checklist and got a mini heart attack when he found himself thinking "where the hell is the Ring???"
Rey screemed his thoughts on top of his voice, swayam and rest of gang shivered at his mere outburst.. swayam glared at rey and then handed him the Ring box which was placed on the side table, he gave rey a deathly look and said "RELAX!!!!!!!" rey smiled sheepishly.
"Rey!! kaha ho tum ?? Im waiting in the launge come fast rey!" kria sent a voice mail after several attempts to reach rey's number. Least did she knew Rey was stuck in the Royal Traffic Block, Mumbai is famous for. Sometimes rey hated being a mumbain! It sucks when u get stuck in a block and there is no sign of moving forward for hours altogether in the middle of heavy rain [ which was seriously unexpected in the month of feb, like seriously ??]. To make the situation worst he had forgotten to wear his watch and also to charge his cell, ofcourse he was in a hyper mode thinking of his proposal plans!
Rey cursed his fate for umpteenth time "UNIVERSE JI!!!" he cried again seeing the never ending traffic! He had lost the track of time, he had no idea how the hell it started raining during feb! that was not enough his car was stuck between the two trucks adjacent to his car blocking his way to open the door. After what seemed like ages, the truck on the other side moved an inch [yet again no sign of an end to the traffic block]. He son jumped over his seat towards the passenger seat and pushed the door open.
Kria had her temper raised to the extreme level because of waiting from past 3 hours! She checked the message again, it was clearely written that he would meet her in 'Destiny Restaurant' sharp at 8 pm. It was already 11.30pm. He cursed him again, she knew it was valentine's eve, how can he be so irresponsible ?
Rey ran on the streets of mumbai in the middle of the rain praying to reach the restaurant asap!
Kria got up to leave when finally she saw him near the entrance all wet and yes in a horrible state ever! His hair was messy, his suit was all wet, he had no cell phone and yes he was damn tired and exhausted! At the moment all her anger and frustration took a break and she ran towards him ' "rey ? kya hua " she enquired, rey explained all what happened. Finally kria asked rey to relax. Before rey could utter another word he found his reservation cancelled. He asked manager in rage to explain, manager defended himself saying that they wouldn't wait for any costumer more than half an hour if they dont turn up before time. And since it was valentine eve, the manager didn't have any choice either.
Rey was broken. Kria realized how much he had planned for their valentine's day. She made a mental note of convincing him as they entered the lift together. She silently held his hand and a gave a tentative side hug.
Before they could talk anymore the lift came into a sudden halt. Yess once again his fate had its turn. Rey cursed his fate again. There was a small light in the lift and still working fan, which would keep them safe.
Rey turned to kria and confessed of all his plans except the proposal one. The lift had transparent glass walls, they could clearely see the outside world.
Kria hugged him tight and said "rey.. whatever happened, may be for good ? what matters is you and me are together now"
Just few minutes more before it would strike 12.. whole Mumbai was celebrating valentine's day.. hence the whole city looked bright and colourful, every building had red and white hoards.. people on the roads where on a marathon.. first of its kind in Mumbai town.. every one on the road was holding heart ballons.. kria and rey looked at the beauty of the city. It was worth watching how eagerly everyone were waiting.. they looked at each and smiled.. rey took her in a embrace and both looked out as a BIG ballon was slowly moving high towards the sky.. rey looked at it and suddenly something flashed on his head. He checked his pockets, yes the ring was still there! his fate wasn't that bad after all!!! He thanked his stars and turned towards kria. she looked at him with questioning eyes..
He bent over his knees, holding the ring towards her, he looked straight into her eyes "baatcutter ?? will you marry me and be my lucky valentine till the end of my life ??" kria was touched by his love.
Kria happily said yes as he slipped the ring on her finger. Just a second later the BIG balloon went up the sky and bursted out into a colourful firework in wich it was written "I love you baatcutter"
With that there were a hundreds of red and white balloon flying near those words. She was in cloud 9, she turned towards him and kissed him with earnest.
