How about this?

I know this is totally insane but... it would be interesting if Shivam is planning something against Swayam/Rey for which he befriend Taani, but later SwaRey doubting his intentions accuses him of misusing Taani or something, beats him up maybe, but Taani defends him, calls him her friend, seeing this he slowly starts falling for her, then gradually Shivam realizes his mistakes, he'll repent then finally he will be reformed and then Taani too will fall for him later...

K... I wanna add a little more...

So finally ShiTa becomes a couple and for some reasons they both leave the college... Then our darling Kriya can return😃, but how should she come back, i have two ideas in my mind-

1. Someone goes searching for her, i know all of a sudden someone trying to trace her down could seem strange, but how about someone, Rey himself or maybe SwaRon visit her hometown for some reason and accidently spots her or goes searching for her

2. Kriya herself secretly sneaking around Rey, checking if he is alright, though knowing that she could never forget him but still wanna see him happy without her (but proven wrong) and then that can pave way for clearing the misunderstandings between them😳
