Amar turned around with a start.

Amar- Shaks??!!

Shakti- hiii!!

Her angelic face grinning back at him.

Amar- what are you doing here?

Shakti- (frown) what do you mean, what am I doing here?... I was invited too.

Amar- of course you were'.. what I meant was, I dint expect you to come'.. Palki maam told me you'd be in Delhi for some ad shoot.

Shakti- oh well, I was done with it'' so I flew back early.

Amar- Cool!! (grin)

Shakti- now stop showing me your teeth and tell me where's my cake?

Amar- ahh!!... so that's why you are here?

Shakti- ofcoure!!... duh!!

And they both burst out laughing.

Everyone- Shakti!!!

She turned to greet everyone.

Alisha- we've missed you so much.

Amar saw her being dragged by those hooligans'.. Girls!!... he sighed.

The DJ must have recognized Shakti, like who wouldn't?, as he switched the music to a new number'.. it was Shakti's latest item song, Pritam Pyaare from the movie Rowdy Rathode.

Squealing with excitement, the girls pulled Shakti to the dance floor'.. and the ever ready to groove boys joined them too'.. except Amar.

He preferred to watch her instead'.. and really she was something to be watched!!... with her latkas and each thumkas his heart skipped a beat'' oh and that sexy pout!!... was that even legal?... one had no right to be so'..what??... sensuous!!'' hot!!'' inviting!!

His legs towed him to the dance floor'. he stepped up behind her'.. She dare not blame me for any of my actions'.. and he pressed his hand to her stomach, pulling her against his chest'.. her curves perfectly blending with his body'' As if there was no place she was meant to be'' he moved her hair to one shoulder, that he noticed had grown longer than her usual, and he bent his head to give her a stream of kisses on her neck'.. she sighed and rested her head on his shoulder to give him further access to her throat.

Wait a minute?... she dint even look back to see who it was'.. what was wrong with her?... how could she allow just anyone to hold her??...was she drunk?

Shantanu clicked his fingers in front of Amar's face'' Amar blinked, turning to Shantanu with his brows furrowed in confusion and back to watch Shakti on the dance floor, dancing with Vinti and Priyanka

Amar- Shit, I love her!😊

He turned to Shantanu with his eyes wide.

Groaning in frustration that it was getting harder to hide this, he walked up to the bar to order himself a drink'.. and like some evil curse bestowed upon him, Shantanu followed him.

Amar- what is it Shan??

Shantanu- when do plan to tell her?... after she's happily married with 2 kids around her waist?

Amar flinched at the sight of the image of Shakti in some other guy's arms and 2-3 kids running around them'.. he looked over at her to make sure she was still dancing with the girls.

Shantanu- you can't get your eyes off her since the time she has entered the hall and you are telling me, you're not ready yet?

Amar downed the drink the waiter had placed in front of him in one gulp.

Amar- fine!!... now you watch me.

Stumbling out of his seat, he walked up to the dance floor to where Shakti was bouncing to the beat of music'' grabbing her arm, he dragged her off the floor.

Shakti- arre???

He found them a perfect spot and corned her to the wall.

Shakti- what happened?... why are'..

Placing his finger on her lips he shut her up'.. he placed his other hand on the wall behind her, imprisoning her.

All she could do was stare'.. his finger felt so tender against her lips, that she had a sudden urge to roll her tongue on its calloused pulp'.. like his finger heard her thoughts, it skimmed the length of her lower lip'.. and his face bent towards her on its own accord.

Shakti- (whisper) Kunwar?

Amar- Shaks'.. I''

He seemed to pause for sooo long, it felt like her heart had galloped a million beats before her finally spoke up again.

Amar- I''

Shakti- I''?

She probed.

Amar- I''

Oh he was testing her patience now!!... ek toh itna time laga diya aur abhi bol bhi nahi raha hai!!

Shakti- I what Kunwar??!!

Amar- I'm hungry.

Shakti blinked before she frowned'.. Hungry?... what was he talking about??

Shakti- Hungry?

Amar- ya, I haven't eaten anything'.. I'm hungry.

What was this??... Some break time before he actually said it??... irritated she pushed him and stepped out of his embrace'.. no it wasn't'.. he was not even holding her'. what was with this guy??!!!

Shakti- then go have your dinner'.. why are you bugging me?

She snapped and Amar silently cursed himself for being such a puss.

Amar- come join me.

Shakti- no thanks'.. I'm not hungry.

Amar- not even when I tell you that I was going out to have pani puri?

Shakti thought over it'' was he fishing to be with her?... alone?... made sense'.. it was awkward in front of everyone here.

Shakti- ok.

Ok?... just like that?... I thought she was pissed'.. God only knows why'.. maine toh khuch bola bhi nahi'.. but Amar couldn't believe his luck'.. after all she had agreed to go out with him.

Shakti- chale?

This made his hands sweat all over again'.. how am I going to say it?... bada bahadur banke Shan ko dikhane chala tha.

Ab toh hadd ho gayi!!... aur kitne hints doon iss gadhe ko??!!... Shakti took the bite of her ice cream and sighed.

Shakti rolled her eyes and went on to gush about her shoot'' which they both weren't interested in.

When they finally reached where he had parked his bike'' he stopped with a frown on his head.

Amar- ok'' I have to tell you something.

Ahhh'.. Finally!!... Shakti stood with her arms crossed across her chest waiting for him to oblige.

He gulped some fresh breath of air and started'..

Somebody called her out'.. and they both turned in the direction of their intruder'.. it was none other than our Karan Thakkar *sigh* (I don't know about others, but I'm a huge fan!!)

Sensing some strain, Karan smiled.

Karan gave her a knowing smile and dint let her finish what she was saying'.. she lowered her lashes to avoid his curious stare.

Karan- anyway, I was here at Mochas to meet some friends'.. wana join me?

Amar- No!!

Karan chuckled under his breath at Amar's prompt reply.

Karan- alright tiger'.. some other time maybe.

Shakti- sure Karan'.. ummm'.. we better go now'.. we're getting late.

Karan- ok'.. bye guys'.. see you.

He shook Amar's hand and hugged Shakti before leaving, making Amar's rage shoot to another level.

Great!!... now he's pissed'' matlab that would take him another lifetime to muster the courage to talk to me'' not that she couldn't say it herself'' everybody knew she wasn't the coy types'.. but THIS!!... this was a guy thing and she would prefer if he did it.

He dropped her at her place and gave her a stiff "good night"'.. Like there was anything good about the night now'' she sighed.

Shakti- good night Kunwar.

He looked her in the eye once before turning on the power ignition and drove away.

Watching his tail light disappear at the corner, she sighed and whispered''

"I love you too, Kunwar."
