See THIS is why I love them. It's as simple as that. They're, like you said, intricate, complex and nuanced in ways that are quite unbelievable on Indian television. Touchwood.
Yes, Sharon's reaction tot he Weaklings' act was really well done. And she was genuinely impressed, and this time not afraid to admit it. She willingly congratulated them, and you could tell that she did it with the conviction that they deserved each and every bit of it. Me likey this side to Sharon. They should show it more often.
And the handshake scene, yes, like you, I'm quite at a loss but can't leave without saying something on it. What I loved MOST about it, was that this time Sharon was the one to make a move. When they were withdrawing their hands almost instinctively, I was thinking, yeahh, as usual an almost-moment...but then Sharon does what she does even better than being nasty. She surprises us all with a gesture totally unexpected and yet SO perfectly in place with what's happening in the storyline as well as in the mind of her character. Swayam's response echoed my own to a great extent, and it was just really delightful to see that moment of honesty. Guard up-yet-down, the whole thing just really WORKED, for me.
