This courtship between Chandragupta and Karbhika did not escape the eyes of Chanakya.But he saw no harm in it.Chanakya had adopted Karbhika as his own daughter after the incident.Karbhika had lost her father and brother,the former king and crown prince of Kath Mahajanapada,during the invasion of Alexander.
Chandragupta had considerably weakened the Greek empire,by killing Phillip.But the end of Phillip did not meant the end of the Yavana empire.There was yet another Greek commander,who wished to conquer Aryavarta.His name was Udithomus.
Udithomus was planning to attack Chandragupta.Meanwhile Chandragupta had liberated Waheek Mahajanapada.Udithomus,was camping on the other side of the Indus river,with a huge army.It was feared that the news of Phillip's murder would provoke him to cross the Indus,and attack the army of Chandragupta.So Chanakya wanted Chandragupta to deal the first blow,as he thought attack was the first defence.
Karbhika naturally wanted to fight against Udithomus.Since the death of her father and brother,she had just one objective--to eliminate the Greeks totally.Chanakya himself gave an inspirational speech to the soldiers,to boost their morale.
Chanakya : Pranam | Mere Aryavarta ke veer supooto ! Iss vishesh sena ke sabhi sainikon ne unn Yavanon ko peechhe hatne ke liye vivash kar diya.Iss kaaraNvarsh yeh Chanak putra Chanakya aapke samaksh natamastak hain.
Humne yeh vichaar kiya thha,ki Sikander ke Unan ( Greece in Sanskrit ) jaane ke baad,Aryavarta ke pavitra bhoomi par chhaya hua sankat door ho gaya hai.Par hume bhramm hua thha.Sikander ka ek senapati,punah Aryavarta ke dwaar par khada hain.Agar woh apne nishchit lakshya mein saphal hua,toh Aryavarta Yavanon ke aadheen ho jaayega.Yeh mujhe kisi bhi tarah se maanya nahi hai.
Apitu,hum sab ko ekatrit hokar inn Yavanon ko maar-bhagaana hai.Issi kaaraNvarsh mein aap sab se yeh nivedan karta hoon,ki aap Chandragupta ko Udithomus ko paraajit karne apna sahayog de.

This speech,made the soldiers stronger and firm in their resolve to drive back the Greeks.A huge battalion of soldiers from the Mahajanapadas of Waheek,Sruhan,Kaikya,Kuloot and Kashmir marched to the banks of the Sindhu.
On the other side stood Udithomus' army of Greeks,and armies of Mahajanapadas ruled by the Yavanas,that is West Gandhar,Batri and Harooli.
Suddenly an arrow pierced the heart of a soldier from Chandragupta's army...
