The 'Swim Team' and 'Nagarjuna - Ek Yoddha' actress, Pooja Banerjee who recently started a new phase of her life post marriage was on a sabbatical.

But now, as per the latest reports, the actress will join the Star Plus' popular show Chandra Nandini (Balaji Telefilms).

Pooja's character will be of a Vishkanya and will want to harm Chandra (Rajat Tokas).

After Saanvi Talwar's exit from the show as Dhurdhara, Pooja's character will add charm to the show. However, unlike Dhurdhara's positive character, Vishkanya will be seen messing the protagonist's life.

We tried contacting Pooja but she was unavailable for comment.

And this vishkanya will be a normal girl with poisonous blood as in arthashastra or a supernatural creature?

Yes, as per history, the Vishkanya was sent to kill Chandragupta Maurya.

There was a political agreement when Chandra fought with Padmanand, that he will give half the kingdom to Parvatak / his son Malay. So Parvatak was staying at Magadh as guest at that time.

But Magadh's spy intercepted the message in time and passed it on to Chanakya - who, in turn, sent the girl promptly to Maharaj's room (where actually Parvatak was staying) and Vishkanya killed him.

Unlike the Show, Chandra's room was changed by Chanakya in such a way that Chandu never stayed in the same room for more than 2 days.
