Read the updates and quite liked the development too. I found Chandra a bit impulsive; Durdhara is innocent and loving towards Nandini- the only one on whom Nandini can depend right now. The family's antipathy on Nandini is very much normal. Chanakya is very cunning, liked his stance with poison. From the chapters it was looking like Nandini is a type of abla naari always shading tears;but I think there will be a twist in vasant mahotsav.

Apama was about to say something,just then "Hail Maharani" called an unusual voice

The clear, turquoise sky was the perfect backdrop for a normal day in Pataliputra. Crowded pavements surround every street filled with the hustle and bustle of people hurrying on their way. The air is alive with talking, freshly cooked food from stalls .Royal Palace was over joyous and everyone was very activily doing chores to welcome Chandra gupt who will be arriving within 10 minutes.MOora Chaya Helena Durdhara Apama and others were standing in the entrance. Nandini was standing in first floor Balcony. When Moora called her down ,Nandini on pretext of Chandra does not like to see her face,she avoided the crowd.But stood in a place which will ensure that Chandra's eyes surely fell on her. She was in a simple dress deliberately,whereas his other queen were beddecked themselves in choicest ornaments and finest clothes.

Chandra's retinue came in expected time. When his Horse entered the royal gates,his Eyes sought on a sillhoutte of a lady .He identified that it was Nandini. This time,he was not annoyed with her presence.Yes It was Durdhara who played the role of cupid between them. She went to extent writing letter to Chandra,stating that She is unable to see nandini's agony who was in pangs of seperation . Also she did not forget to mention all services she rendered to Chaya by giving her herbs and Nursing Moora when she was sick.

Chandra became Happy "Atlast,Nandini is not bad... She took care of my family in my absence. She was not haughty and pampered princess at all. She is responsible daughter in law. Oh my God,Even after we illtreated her she has got some piece of heart to take care of us."

HE soon entered the palace,after all formalities over. HE took his lunch. He seeked Nandini,but she was not anywhere to be seen. He was upset .Before going to her chamber,He enquired both his other wives as matter of formalities. He gave them exclusive gifts .Helena got a priceless Gem decked necklace while Durdhara got silk saree made up of Gold Zaris and exclusivedesigns.Having taken care of others and his wives,He took his steps to reach nandini's Chamber.


When he reached there ,he saw Nandini was singing on Lord Krishna before his IDol. Lord Krishna was her favourite God. Suddenly she felt His presence ,So she stopped Singing.

The story is shaping up very nicely. The way Nandini is spinning reams around everyone is very intriguing. Only Aapma doesn't seem to be taken in her trap. Chandra was so confused by her behavior!

Chapter 5 (part 1)
It was a another day In Pataliputra .Sun just shown up on the eastern horizon.Rays of sunlight shimmer through the dew drops that slide down the blades of the lush green grass.It was a fine spring morning, with flowers abloom, the sun bright and the fresh smell of jasmine. As flowers begin to blossom, had started to come out .The air smelled earthy and the dry and drooping plants were now boasting of their new found youth. It was coming of the age; but yes in the reverse order. Undoubtedly, mornings of this season breathe vibrancy.

Chandra step out of his room and took a deep breath. It is a fine spring morning, with flowers abloom, the sun bright and the fresh smell of jasmine. He listened, silently and without a move. "I must find,who sings and what she is singing ? He strolled out and tried to find its source.Atlast he found the owner of the voice .It was none other Nandini.


Chandra "You Nandini... Singing About Krishna early this Morning ...

Nandini "Maharaj,I sing about him at anytime ,when I feel like...It gives me peace..Music is an immensely powerful thing .It's very addictive and can also be distracting sometimes.
(After a long pause) Singing different tunes helps me to de-stress, relax and it can also help to motivate me in trying times.

Tears flowing in her eyes and it was like a river. Chandra felt very bad to make her feel bad in starting of the day.

Nandini is cleverly trapping Chandra in her wordplay and making Chandra feel guilty. She is at her best emotionally manipulating him and wrapping him round her little finger. Very nice!

Chapter 5 Part 2

Chandra felt very nerved after his encounter with Nandini. He just wanted to compliment her singing because he was attracted by her voice. But Nandini mistook him. She pointed her fingers at Chandra accusing him as a murderer of her brothers. She was indirectly meant him for her suffering which he could not bear. He reached his room and sat in his opulent arm chair.He recollected her words and

CHANDRA (thought himself) : This,Nandini ... She is just impossible. She can drag any topic to anywhere.. She raises questions, about me...but she completely fails to understand her Father's cruel and oppressive rule. SHE is insane... The way she accuses me .is completly... May be she is feeling lonely.I think , I have too failed her as a husband.Right from night of my marriage I have denied all her rights... I think i should have treated her like my other wives. I have kept her mother as a captive. Nandini must be missing her mother . I must take my relation with Nandini to next level. Then she may have some trust in me.She is immature.or does she still loves Malayaketu?... He is son of a king and good looking too...So what If she loved him,now she is my wife. She has to love me only... I will make her to do so either lovingly or by force... I am entitiled to her... I have won her... I am not bothered about her past... However she mAy be, she is mine.. I cannot hate her because she once loved someone else... What wrong... Nothing.Its not her fault.. Time is indeed real culprit for her.,it has changed her world upside down .. That silly girl is blaming me... She is just 16 years old ,I cannot expect much from her .. Will she accept me.. ... ...HE WAS interrupted by a voice of Dasi.

CHANDRA was seated in his throne. With passage of 3 hours after sunrise,he will come to his political chamber.Chandra was always punctual but today he was late. He felt embrassed to make others wait upon him.He saluted his mentor and others took his place.

He soon started of the discussion of state affairs ..

just then came a solDier entered the premises and spoke

" Long live King, minister from court of Sinhala is seeking your permission to enter the court."

Chandra : Bring him in with full respects.
Before they come in I want my queens and my mother and Chaya to be summoned here without delay.

He ordered and looked upon his mentor Chanakya

Chanakya : Maharaj, Sinhala friendship will benefit Magadh in many ways.Both politically and commercially!!Hope this visit extend friendship ties overseas.Chandra nodded his Head as consent.

(AFTER SOME TIME )All his family members entered the arena Without causing any delay. By that time Prime minister of Sinhala also came inside with his handful of soldiers.Soon formal talks and introduction of members of both parties took place. WHEN guests seated comfortably.Chandra addresed the guest regarding the purpose of visit.

Prime minister of Sinhala : Long live King, I am representing Raja Vibhatsu of Sinhala . This is just a friendly visit to strengthen our trade ties and to discuss about various prospects.. AS a token of friendship he has given you 1000 horses of Persia,May you accept.

Chandra: please take your seat..Hope your visit to Magadh is fruitful. I am very pleased to have you as my guest. You can stay here as long as you wish.We are happy for this gesture. WE Also like to present Raja Vibhatsu jewels made up of precious stones and pearls on behalf of people of Magadh.

CHANDRA summoned a soldier to bring a heated rod.When the soldier arrived with the rod,Chandra took the rod and carefully thrust ed it into the figure. AFter some time , Lion started melting and within quarter of an hour, lion disappeared.

Everyone in the present started to give applauds to Chandra.

Prime Minister : Hail of King, You are not only brave but you are witty too...How did you solve the riddle

CHANDRA : it is just physics PRIME MINISTER,the moment I inspected the animal,found it is made up of wax. WAX melts in heat,so I inserted Iron rod into it.That's all...

Nandini who was watching all these happenings right before her eyes thought "Chandra is expert in all fields,Even in Physics... He has no sense of pride despite being so talented in all subjects. People of Magadh definitely having a Good king.
