Of course, Sri, anything for you.

But in the weekly post that I am going put up on Sunday next. lf I write all the choice bits now itself, you will not even read that post!😉 Besides, the number of lep scenes is fast multiplying, and I have to keep track of them by numbering them, I think!

To my mind, the most enchanting segment so far this week was the one about the choice of the gift, especially right at the end. The childlike delight with which Nandini was arranging all those childhood objects in the thali, and the look on Chandra's face as he was watching her were both inimitable.

Thank you so very much, for to be compared with my Vyjayanthi Akka is indeed a great compliment! Though I don't think she, being the perfect prima donna, would have liked it!😉

If you do not like Aunty, I would suggest Akka or Di, depending on your own age, and keeping in mind that I am 69. I like my e-family to grow, and I like the warmth of being called something with a relationship built into it. And I do not like younger folk addressing me by my first name, in which respect I am much behind the times, I know, but that is the way I am!

The name is Sangeetha. I was a silent reader so far only because the registration process here was an exciting one. The system took up a mere 45 minutes and kept repeatedly saying "the User ID has been taken". With all my ID options exhausted, including certain number combinations, i finally resorted to RajatShweta 😆

Ok, here's my take on the recent developments :

Palace Crash Courses Galore :
Helena did a crash course on "How to switch Love from Malay to Chandra in 1 Hamam display".
Nandini did a crash course on "How to become a Man in 30 Minutes".
Aparna did a crash course on "How to write a Hindi letter in 3 visits to India".

Even after successfully cheating the whole Balgram, Vakranas was able to spot Nandini (play Odd-Man-Out game) and tell her about her father's Mandir ka Rasta plans.
But here, the Macedonian Queen wrote a perfect Hindi letter, with her own hand, without any spelling error, no mixing of non-hindi words, and read aloud by Chandra. Applause applause. Upadi de do isko bhi.

I have a half explanation only for Helena. Her mother Aapama (that is her real name) is Persian, and so her speech is laced with Persian words. These words later passed on into Urdu. At the Mughal court, Persian was the official language.

As for the Hindi letter, that was not beyond the realms of possibility. The real howler was when the fake rajakiya ghoshana patra about the release of Nandini's mentally challenged brother and the pardon for Nand, written by Roopa, was called a FARMAN!!! That was the pits!😡

The Hamam Hammer :
In the first scene, Chandra walking in a corridor, turns right and walks straight into the Ladies Hamam, UNINVITED, UNANNOUNCED, WITHOUT ANY LADY ATTENDANTS and stares at a lady showing her back, with her arms spread wide.
All this, BEFORE THE LADY ACTUALLY SPEAKS up.

Sure, a King has a liberty to walk in and out of anywhere in his kingdom. But why would he take a shortcut route through a Ladies Hamam, when ANY LADY for that matter could be taking bath ? Could be his Mom or MIL also.

Even when Chandra was taking bath, there were 2 male attendants outside the sankaksh. Here the Rani is taking bath without a single attendant at the entrance !!
The hamam invitation was sent only for Malayketu, so the attendant should be announcing other special walk-in entrants (like Chandra) to the Rani, right ?

The attendants would hardly have been briefed that Malayketu was expected. Think of the scandal that would have erupted with their rampant gossip! No r would there be any question of their announcing anyone. This is a very private place and only entitled persons would be allowed to enter; they would not be announced.

Actually, I am sure Roopa. acting like Maharani Nandini, would have dismissed all the guards and the daasis, so that Malayketu could enter unobserved.

And then, when Roopa says the word Malay, Chandra returns on the SAME ROUTE he came from !! Apparently, Hamam route was a one-way road.

Yes of course it would be, and why not? It would make it much easier to regulate access and ensure privacy and security

Period Mix :
Moora uses word like "kaun karega chhaya se SHAADI ?". Mughal period was in 15th century while we are currently wading thro 3rd century.
Durdhara uses word like "ye yavni to ek NUMBER ki kali billi hi". English ?
Helena uses word like "Mujrim, Shaadi, etc" but manages to writes impeccable hindi letter to Malay in the name of Nandini.
Roopa mumbles "Kate din madhu ban" song in the garden - that Chandra used to sing in Takshashila.
Yesterday, Roopa uses word like "ye LEP lagao" instead of UPTAN. It is actually upakant,
CVs, here comes the Viewers' Choice Award for you ...

The Surprise Package :
The Jealousy track so far has only 4 participants - Helena and Malay provoking Chandra that Nandini is still in love with Malay. Even Avantika was not aware of it.

But Sunanda and Roopa was aware of the jealousy track!! (Remember, Roopa entered Malay's room immediately after the Stormy-Ousted-Night and flirting with him ? This was even before Aparna was roped in the grand scheme.)

When Chandra asked Nandini to get out of the palace, only Helena was around. What would Sunanda's grand plans had been - if Roopa was seen loitering around after Nandini has walked out of the Palace ?

And then we see Roopa mumbling "Kate din madhu ban" song in the garden and Chandra praises her. Really ?? When did she travel to Takshashila or Piplivan to know what Chandra likes to sing ?

Not at all necessary. Sunanda learns from Nandini, who is briefing Padmanand about it after spying on Chandra's camp, that he sings that song. It is Sunanda who immediatly identifies the village where the charwahe sing that song.So now she would surely have briefed Roopa about the song.

Hey, now Even Roopa wants to do a crash course on "How to ape Nandini perfectly". Wait, isnt she supposed to do the background study BEFORE SHE STARTED enacting Nandini in the palace ? Kya Sunanda, aap bhi na...

Anjali, you little wretch,

You deserved to be thwacked, not for these body builder photos, which are hardly anything for me to bother about, but for trying to pull my leg. What if you ended up dislocating my replaced knee? Then I would be well and truly sunk, you imp!

Aunty, I've finally been able to catch up on the Tuesday and Wednesday episodes. Therefore now I can vehemently agree with you over that cute vaanar joke between our dear Odd Couple 😳

I was all aww, and I tend to go aww rather loudly when it comes to my Tokas 😆But these days I can sense even mom's silent (and smiling) approval to all this...perhaps because this time I have been able to passively steer her into liking Rajat more (successfully) 😆 Although she still says she likes Mohit Raina more.

Coming back, Chandra's reaction to Nandini's bleeding hand was endearing.

The scene could have risen in intensity, but was rudely interrupted (once again) by trespasser dadi Seriously, is it just me? Because I find her so enormously annoying. She has absolutely no concern for her long-lost-now-found grandson, and prefers to focus only on Nandini. Chalo, wo bhi theek...but she's always in their room 😡

But but but...Poor Helena 😆 *evil laugh*
I don't know aunty, I don't like her anymore...AT ALL! Sometimes I can't believe I used to actually admire this character once.
