Shyamala,
@ bold: You were enchanted, okay. But you also kept track of time!
@ bold-red: What is this! you are saying something that I am even unaware of!

Akka dearest,

I absolutely LOVED the Kamba Ramayanam parallel you have drawn, but I was not surprised at someone of your erudition coming up with it. Now see our Shailaja, she has come up with exactly the same parallel! Talk of telepathy!

Your other comments too are spot on, Akka. Malayaketu is just a walking talking template of a hammy villain, only the names change. And Aapama seems to always materialise out of the void, like the Cheshire cat. She did the same the first time too, remember?

And meimaranthu is just right. I was enchanted by those 30 seconds.

Well, Akka, the good thing about being of our advanced years is that one longer has to worry about finding a Prince Charming, or leaving a glass slipper at the ball!😉 I have always wondered about the glass part of it. It she had stumbled in the ballroom, it would have got broken and cut her foot for sure!

Roopa, Nandini's presumably evil twin, has been imported into the Pataliputra palace by Sunanda, her existence being the Secret No.1 that had Nand on tenterhooks to know it. Sunanda has already been looking on with visible disapproval at Nandini rejoicing in Chandra's return from near death. So she must have brought in this twin to disrupt the budding Nandini-Chandra relationship.

Helena is invoking the dark spirits, surely on Aapama's advice, to make Chandra fall in love with her.She boasts to Nandini about her success in this respect, and when Nandini says she can keep her husband as she is not interested in him, an altercation ensues and Nandini slaps a shellshocked Helena good and proper.

Voila! Roopa unveiled!😉 I regarded it with great dismay. Who wants this creature and her villainy so soon? Or at all?

Was it Sunanda? I must take a look at it again. I thought it was Helena. It seemed to fit in more with the idea of doing vasheekaran on Chandra thru black magic, . If Sunanda already has this Roopa, what does she need the dark spirits for?

What is this, Akka? You are on a fishing expedition, and I am sure you are a pure vegetarian!😉 You know perfectly well what I meant, and it is obvious to everyone here too!!

The enchantment was when I was watching it. By the time I started describing it, reality, and the time, had taken over!

Regarding what you say about these qualities being in-born in Chandra and Nandini, I think you are perfectly correct and also accurate. It is this very fact which makes Chandra and Nandini as a pair very beautiful, endearing and also enduring. I was astonished and at the same time highly pleased that both of us were on the same page and in telepathic communion while describing that scene from Kamba Ramayana Saraswathi Aunty. "Shailuum yezhudhinaal, Sarasuum yezhudhinaar!"

It is not because they are destined to be a husband and wife..This nature of them may play a vital role in bringing them together in the future.</font>

Shyamala,
...
KaNNodu KaN iNai kavvi , onRai onru
" UNNavum Nilai perathu , uNarvum onRida
.."aNNalum noakkinaan, avaLum noakkinaaL.."
This is a beautiful stanza by Kamban in the Ramayana epic, when he says about Rama and Sita's first look at each other.
Meaning,
Their eyes grab each other's and devour..(and).. their feelings merge ..
The Lord looked at her, she also looked at him!

(There is no need for any conversation here...)

[ How is Rama very sure that the girl he saw would be an unmarried one? He consoles himself, " Just because my heart went towards her, she must have been unmarried.."]
Thiruvalluvar goes one step further when he says,

"KaNNodu KanniNai Noakkokkin
Vaichchol anna payanila.."
That is,
"If their eyes can convey a perfect understanding when they( the lovers) look at each other,
Where is the need for words?"

S. Akka.

Shyamala,
An old joke..
" What is the punishment for bigamy?"
"Two mothers-in-law!"
Here ,
"What is the punishment for 'tri'gamy?"
"Three mothers-in-law!"
One by Helena, two by Nandini!

Saraswathi akka.
