See honestly, I'd love to watch love develop between C and N, but it's evidently pure fiction. So don't bother so much. Inspite of me shipping ChanDini, I know for a fact that the actual love-story was between Chandragupta and Durdhara

Secondly, even if this story was true, I'd say it's a matter of destiny. One never knows who one may end up falling for. Applies for us also, it's as ancient as it is contemporary. A person could be JUST RIGHT for us, and we may genuinely appreciate him, but might not feel any attraction or "love like that" for this person. It's not so much about qualities or valid reasons in isolation, it's about the matched wavelengths. About just "clicking"! And maybe that's what the ChanDini saga will be about. God knows!

But yeah these things one cannot quite graph you know. These are matters of the heart. Love is illogical.

llogical

will anyone fall in love with a girl whose father beheaded his dad before his birth or chained his mom in jail for 20 years whipping her now and then

only saints can forgive and love may be not normal humans like chandra

i still cannot understand mura she is acting so normal with nandini and family is she some saint lady?

and that chaya wanted to kill nandini before now enjoying chandras wedding with that nandini

D3 Sharon was brilliant as far as the character or its portrayal is concerned! This Nandini is a far shoddy job in comparison! I too loved Sharon a lot but she looked very believable and relatable in that show. Nandini as a character requires the interplay of a myriad expressions one fitting to the other and then back to make her believable and acceptable. At times the action gets so monochromatic and uninspiring that the entire scene ends up looking flat, incomplete and with a feeling that something more could have been done or added. Anyways that was my opinion. We need not agree on everything you know. Each could have a different opinion.

However, Nandini has every reason to hate Chandra's GUTS (at least right now). Mahapadmanand might have been rotten, but he was her dad, and he was an incredible dad. Also, she has no clue of his past, and even when she does, I am not sure how she'll respond to life after the great revelation. Yes, agreed she's bratty, like a lot of young women from our generation who like to have things their way. Besides, she has been Magadh's only princess and daddy's favourite all along, so a big ego is almost synonymous. But now all of a sudden her world has been turned upside down, because she's faced with this 'gory' situation almost overnight! So her revulsion for Chandragupta is more than justified. I know this is the exact same reaction I would have had if faced with something similar. Like I have this beautiful house and a lovely family (no matter how rotten they are, mujhe kya pata...they love me and I love them)...who are suddenly killed by some outsider (no matter how just he is, but I don't know it)...and now he enters my house and owns it...and I am turned slave! Come on, I'd kill.
Anyhow, ye fiction drama hai, which is (very) looselybased on facts (sure!)😉, so obviously the leads will have to fall in love. And I know what the general consensus about their pair is, but I beg to differ. I think they look stunning together, and also complement each other's performance and energy level.

Absolutely agree with what you said...in the kind of situation she has gone thru recently would make any sane person go insane 😆 And like you said she has no idea what is the reality of her dad coz her dad kept her in wrap of bubble all the time...and having to see your beloved dad and brothers killed in front of your eyes is extremely painful thing to witness which the other two pretty ladies haven't witnessed..in my opinion "pain" is what is making them attract to each other and will always bind them together 😳 and they look fantastic together...that haldi scene today was the trailer 😉

Why a man like chandra will fall for a irritating stupid and badass lady like nandini?

rather than falling for a sweet innocent and selfless girl like Dhurudhara?

The same is true of girls too

Why a girl like Dhurudhara love a irritating uncompromising and heartless chandra?

rather than falling for a man who will love and care her back as much as she does him?

What has dhurudhara not have or done for chandra that nandini will ever do?

Has she not helped him in grave danger risking her life? - like when he was hidding from the greek soldiers

Has she not fed him food when he was hungry for 4 days?

Has her father not given chandra nough money that ensured he won over nand and became samrat?

Has she not taken care of him spending sleepless night when he was injured in battle?

Has she not cared for him enough that she wakes up scared by dreams of his being attacked?

She has not even demanded like helena any position of importance or to get her anything in return

But still her hand burnt and chandra ran to save nandini?

Why do men love badass woman and not normal good ones?

According to my view that's the reason they say Opposites Attract. There is nothing logical in such matters, in particular anything related to your heart or feelings seldom has to do something with logic. U never know why you fall for someone...

I totally agree that Chandra should actually love Durdhara and not Nandini whom he hates and vise versa. But as I mentioned, feelings can't be controlled. Even I felt truly sad to see him running for saving Nandini not even caring enough to attend Durdhara who was sitting infront of him with burnt hands. But thats what happens.

No reasoning can help, its human nature to run behind the untamed instead of someone so caring... In real life also the same thing is observed in many cases. We can just stand and be sad for it as u can't make someone feel for someone who deserves such care...

well i dont know why chandra never falls for dhurdhara ( in this show actually) . but this is the bitter reality of being friendzone 😆..poor dhurdhara , i can understand her😔 ..😆
and about chandra - nandini relation , then jo helena ki maa ne uss se kaha tha , vo sach hai .i mean i am talking about "pyaar aur nafrat ke beech bahut choti si lakeer hai , kisi bhi din koi bhi use paar kar sakta hai "

If we're talking about the actual facts (and this has been mentioned before in other threads as well) Durdhara was actually Chandra's most adored wife.
If they had a pure friendship turns to love story, with Chandra and Durdhara, some could complain that it's too sweet and icky and I think it could get to the point where the scenes would be on par with the sickly sweet Nandni, Nand scenes. I personally enjoy the small little interludes between Durdhara and Chandra - they're adorable and I love that she can bring out a different, more lighthearted person in him that I've not seen anyone else accomplish so far. But if these scenes are continuously shoved down our throats, it will become overwhelming and boring; it'll kill the magic of those scenes and the couple. (Just as it would if we saw nothing but only Chandra and Nandni throughout the entire broadcast).
Don't get me wrong, I love Durdhara. At this moment in time she's my favourite character in the whole show that I have no qualms with whatsoever and I hope to all the gods and grandads that she's not killed off anytime soon (because we all know she's going to die eventually). However I've heard comments along the lines "kahani bohot pheki hoi gayi aur koi masala nahi hoi ga" in reference to a show based on Durdhara and Chandra alone...
Whatever, to each his own..

But I think for the sake of the show, they're pulling out all the stops: that it's a hate love story, the dramatic irony, the whole opposites attract theme, two fierce personas clashing against one another..all of this I suppose is meant to add to whole idea that the love would be stronger when it finally does occur..that the romance would be more passionate? (I dunno know- this is just guesswork, I could be wrong) But apparently it's the kind of theme audiences go wild for- A lot of people seem to enjoy a bitter hateful love story over a simple, sweet romance.

Thinking about Chandra, try and remember when he vows to never fall in love. It's an oath that he's taken since he was barely a teenager. Of course, he loves Durdhara but as a friend rather than...a lover ( for the want of a better word) because they've pretty much grown up together and have known each other most of their lives. In that situation, it can go either ways:
1) Both of them could have a connection and end up forming a romantic link
2) Or the feelings stay purely platonic and they remain as good friends.
Most of the times, it's the latter.
(Or 3, one in love but the other doesn't reciprocate..)
Also taking into account, Durdhara's personality: she's prefect, she's lovable, she's understanding, she's humorous etc. Assuming Chandra's aware of her nature, surely he would have taken certain protective measures to prevent himself from falling in love with her a long time ago in order to keep true to his own word. But he loathes Nandni - the last thing he would expect is to fall in love with her, so it's perhaps safe to assume that he wouldn't have erected the necessary barriers to stop himself as he would have with Durdhara. Who expects to fall in love with a person you hate? No one. But then again, there's an oh so fine line between love and hate and people often fall in love when they least expect it and with whom they least expect to.
And on top of that, it could be possible to love more than one person at any given time..it does happen but that's a whole other topic in itself.

As for the Haldi, let me just say I've seen that scene back a couple of times. Chandra was actually tending to Durdhara's hands the whole time they were discussing what had happened.Take note; he ran for Nandni after he had rubbed in the anti-venom antidote onto her palms. Nandni's predicament called for more urgency at the time considering, she had the haldi on her the same amount of time Durdhara had (and indeed behold the state it had rendered her poor hands in that period) but Nandni had a considerable amount more, that too on a bigger surface area (almost her whole body) and more of very same toxic haldi was being added on her skin as they spoke.

Personally, I'd like to see the development with all of them - Helena, Durdhara and Nandni as well as the other characters but i just don't want any pairing to be constantly rammed in our face, especially over the other pairings. Anyway, this is merely what I've observed and speculated. For what it's worth, I could be wrong, I could be completely off the mark. Make of it what you will.

Lots of love,
Nimm xx

Nandini is not badass. She's just stupid and naive. Badass should imply fearless and brave and worthy of respect for their unabashed drive. But being devoid of fear for blatant stupidity doesn't account for badass-ery.
Why guys like badass women? Why does anybody like badass people?Because they have the courage to do the unimaginable with no regrets.

But Nandini is not that. Anyway,I guess people in general get obsessed sometimes with achieving something that is hard to get.

Moreover, this mindset of generalising women needs to stop. A sweet and innocent must OFCOURSE be wife material and a certain wild oustpoken woman OFCOURSE can only be worth of someone's fancy. This concept is really insulting and so unfair.
