All his shows has been successful with his own voice only.He has millions of fans!!..And all love his sexy voice only..
And what's with this height thing!!
Height se kya hoga bhai.Tendulkar is short, but do people see his height or talent..
so for heavens sake: regarding his height, its totally irrelevant and doesn't count. Important is ,his talent and his acting skills. Also have you seen or read anywhere about Historical CGM's height that you want someone tall..
Rajat is famous Television actor. And his historical shows were always successful. Show wouldn't be any different without RT.. 😵 ..ALL in the forum are watching it for RT only.
I myself wouldn't have watched if RT was not part of this venture.

As there is a saying All great things come in small pakages. So is Rajat..
And please don't hurt fans of Rajat..Say anything to other actors in the show but not Rajat. Rajat Tokas does everything possible to nail the character he plays. He is the Hard working actor. he is an excellent sword fighter, Excellent swimmer , Good horse rider. A good actor. what else do you need for an historical show ??

I am watching only because of Rajat too... i agree with ur reply. Without him show will be dull. Many other actors are good in height has thick voice but most of them can't act. I feel every scene of his. doesn't matter scene is romantic sad angry or cunning, his eyes talks... his stance talks and Rajat involves himself into the character so much that we see him as that character only. In beginning of the show my problem was the same. I saw him as Jalal but now because of his acting and involvement in the character I started to see him as Chandra. And i knew in beginning it will take time but i trusted Rajat and i am glad he kept my trust. Whoever don't like lead character I advice either give few episode and try quietly and still don't enjoy then quit the show instead of hurting feeling of the fan. hope u know bashing directly on character and personally actor against forum code.

Shyamala Aunty,
I had seen this thread n chose to ignore it. I came here on your recommendation.😃

If I don't like a show, esp it's lead & main protagonist, I simply don't watch that show...😃

I definitely DONT do this:-
1) watch it
2) come to IF n make long posts n discuss about in detail 😆the shortcomings of the show (pun intended😉)

Tom Cruise/Amir Khan to name a few, contradict the 'shortcomings"😆
Voice is of course a matter of opinion 😃...according to me, there isn't another actor in India who could have done CGM Ike RT

RT you rock, man ⭐️⭐️...keep up the good work!!!!👏

Thank you, my dear Khushi! I too, as I said, stumbled on it by sheer chance. As you know, I find it hard enough to cope with the things I want to do, and this is not one of them. However, I felt the need for something to correct these perspectives. Not that it is going to convince anyone who does not want to be convinced, but I felt better for having had my say. Now I can leave this place in peace!😆 By the way, I do not think you have seen my posts on prepage.

I can only see lack of imagination written all over this criticism on how it would have been to address a huge army in an open battlefield full of noises without the aid or benefit of a mike. So the speaker had the only option of shouting himself hoarse to reach and motivate even the farthermost soldier in the very last row.

I remember once when a seminar was in progress in our university, there was a power failure. It was a medium sized hall with very good acoustics. And in all we must have numbered around 300 in number inside the hall. It was not as if Chandra was going to record his speech in a recording studio, mix it with special effects and play it out to his men on the best of the best sound systems. It was an extempore, impromptu speech delivered to motivate and rouse his soldiers to action on a war field. I assure you the speaker in that seminar I spoke of sounded much worse than Chandra's address to his army.

First, Chandra was no classical singer to have practiced and mastered Tri Stayi Swara (three levels of musical notes: lower, middle and upper) or voice modulation techniques on how to shout with maximum effect and a soothing baritone effect(Both these aspects contradict each other. So it can just be either of the two if we are realistically speaking. These gimmicks may happen on audio recording studios where one deep baritone voice can be multiplied ten fold or hundred fold without changing its essential baritone quality by sounding loud too without shouting. The real Chandra would have sounded just like Rajat did on the battlefield.)

Chanakya would hardly have devoted his time and energies in training Chandra to be an eloquent speaker. He trained him to be a warrior and general. He would have thought about giving his disciple the knowledge of sword fighting, handling the spear, Santaram Vidya, the vyuhs, war strategy, etc. Voice modulation would have been farther even from his dreams leave alone reality.

And all my baritone lovers, Chandra did not have a reputation for speeches. He was a man of few words and mainly action. Rajat performs all the tiny nuances of this role to perfection. Even the greatest of the great, Amitabh Bachchan, was rejected in the AIR during struggling days for the post of a news reader saying that his deep baritone voice was pathetic and unintelligible. A whole nation swoons today over his voice and impactful dialogue delivery. Just as those comments made no difference to AB, this criticism also will not mean much to Rajat who is doing a very fantastic job in all areas of the acting department including dialogue delivery.

Perfect, Shailaja! Crisp, comprehensive and very telling.👏 Especially the parts in blue.

One has also to keep in mind that whereas in films, there is still a lot of dubbing, here it is all sync sound, and the actor would not be allowed any retakes given the amount of co-ordination needed for shooting these sequences. They would have had a couple of solo rehearsals, and then Camera, lights, action! and he would have been on, yelling for all that he was worth to make himself heard over the din around him,

Addressing first line first. "Rajat is a decent to good actor"... Nopes, he is neither just decent nor just good. he is an actor par excellence, a phenomenal actor. For me, he is not just one of the best but sitting right there at the top.

Now, coming to problem of his voice. To some extent, for the part where his dialogues sometimes come out as whispers might be a problem and I am sure if anyone points this out to him. He will not mind but work on himself with even more zeal. But I do not mind his voice. In fact dubbing will ruin the entire affect, those who can relate to him knowing the actor portraying is Rajat Tokas. Those who are used to his voice, ( mind you actor's own voice is much more impactful in many terms. Including most if not all viewers being able to relate to that scene and character more)

I have been watching him since PRC and personally I would not prefer getting his dialogues/voice dubbed. It may even force me to stop watching show or skip it. (Besides I am watching this show for Rajat's acting, and his complete avatar on screen, voice including. I wont like a substitute.)

Let's just hope, our voices reach him and he starts taking care of not only his throat, his voice but also his diction.

And those who are here only to find faults even if something is good or exceptional. Those who think Rajat should be replaced, you always have option to stop watching or find and watch Sagar's CGM. Rajat has his fans to support, always with him since PRC, when he was the first actor to do a historical. he was the reason historicals trend started, he was the reason people started taking interest in historicals. he is still the benchmark of god performance in historicals especially. Though he justifies each role of his. I remember before PRC people making fun of an upcoming historical show, saying who will watch it. But first look of Rajat and historicals became an in thing. He understands nuances of character, portrays each scene perfectly, he is the best in action. PRC and DV show that. I don't think anyone else could have done CGM better, and I would have stood by him in this regard even if I was not his fan.
Problem with height? since when height has come in way of talent? Tom Cruise is a famous actor with short height but innumerable fans and talented enough to deserve that fandom. Aamir Khan is another excellent actor with short height. How ironic, how a more important thing in a person like his talent can be ignored for a physical feature.

Besides, people do not complain when a good looking actor is chosen for the character of a a real historical figure. who may not have been that good looking or he may be what society calls ugly. Why people d not complain and say actor's looks are not appropriate for that character's portrayal.
