I agree with all the rest, my dear Prem, but Chanakya has brought Chandragupta up the way he needed to be if he was to achieve their common goal in life. Another thing. Chandra does not console Helena out of sympathy. He sees her emotional breakdown as a golden opportunity to gain her confidence, which is his real goal. When he says that he will never betray her, he is lying, but he is lying in a greater cause, and as Lord Krishna says in the Gita, such a lie is better than a hundred truths. I was very glad to see what he was doing and why, and he pulls it off.

In fact, as they say, he plays her like a violin right thru.

The real dhanannad daughter must have been a hi-fi royal born with silver spoon never faced any hardship or reality of life

Chandra was exactly opposite, all he saw was hardships and wars and terrible danger to life atleast till his late 30s

So it would chandra who enlightens her to reality about life rather than other way round

But being Ekta show and heroine mahaan concept nandini will teach him about love and humainty etc

I too wish chandra would teach nandini about life about love and humanity and reality rather than other way

I disgaree that chandra has no idea of love and humanity - chandra loved his mom(and dad too) very much and would do anything to make them happy and smile, but chankya has brought him up in different way a heartless warrior a machine kind.

@bold agree with you Aunty👏👏 it was clearly visible that CGM was using his golden opportunity to gain her confidence..and chandra's expressions said it all...Rajat nailed that scene👏 when he sid he wont lie,his eyes said what he truely meant

this boy,i must say,is one of the rarest actors who has the capability to express the true intentions with his eyes

Wish you a very happy Deepavali Aunty. Sorry to hear about your ill health. I wish you a speedy recovery! Chandra was lending Helena a shoulder to cry on for his own purposes. I actually think the better of him for it because this lad knows where his true priorities lie. But I know another thing also. When Chandra eventually marries Helena in future, he will not respect her the less for knowing all that he does about her. He will treat her with respect and never hurt her self-esteem the way Malay did. He will always be her good friend and companion. This shoulder for her to cry on will always be there after their marriage. For some reason I feel that Chandra and Helena will be better companions and comrades than Chandra and Nandini though they might never ever fall in love with each other.

I too feel the same. Chandra does not need a heart. He has one and it beats in the right place for the right causes. It is Nandini who has to grow up and learn a thing or two about the world around her and humanity. There was one promo where she dresses herself up with a spiky dress to kill her husband. She tells I am no coward to take my life by jumping in the fire. I will kill my enemy by taking him in my embrace. Which Mahaan heroine will think of doing such an evil thing? Did Jodha ever think something like that for Jalal? Even she had equal causes and reasons. It is the kind of stuff Lady Macbeth or Catherine de Medici specialized in. Nandini can be very cruel and stone-hearted if she wants to be. The seeds for that are all there. This is actually a story of how Lady Macbeth transforms into a Viola or Desdemona in love!

That was some beautiful piece of work, considering the overall state of the episodes, which persistently remains average. The leads and the their respective portrayals are overall consistent, it has unsubstantiated Shweta's monopoly in this aspect - Chanakya and chandra continue to get the best written dialogues, judging by the fact that they are almost completely 4th century Urdu free!! Helena speaks in an inimitable medley of Hindi and Urdu - probably a reflection of the various countries they passed by! But however much I may stuff my tympanic aperture with stuffs of cotton ball, Shweta and her Shaadi, still penetrate my ear drums.

All the three, Nos. 13-15, were interesting, Kritika, and I will cover all the three in my next post, but more in terms of trends and plots - political and personal- than linearly, ad seriatim.

The best scenes in these 3 episodes were those between Chandragupta and Helena, for the Chandragupta-Chanakya ones were, this time, more businesslike than soaring to lofty heights of idealism. Next in line for sheer performance was Padmanand. He was very impressive in his impassioned scenes with Nandini. Helena was also surprisingly convincing, and she managed the last segment with Chandragupta very well, with seething rage twisting her features as she speaks of revenge.

So true! One cannot look too much into the future of any relationship. Anything can happen! But for now, Helena is Chandra's Brahmastra just as he is Chanakya's Brahmastra. Moreover she is like a double edged sword and cuts both ways for Chandra. She can help him against the Greeks and against Malayketu, and indirectly against Nand and Nandini because she has an axe to grind against all of them.

One cannot say about the turn in their relationship in future but doubtless it is that after this Helena would be an important weapon of Chandra - it works out twice... once to consolidate his prospects in the Macedonian army, and secondly he may inadvertently use her to lash back at Malayketu, as he too has personal grudges against him and probably few scores to settle!</font>
