Hello aunty,nice to see your post after a long time.I will not be able to see Chandra nandini as there is no cable connection in our hostel.As usual your posts are very informative,product of your keen obsevation.Due to heavy workload I may not able to reply but I will try my best to join the interesting conversation going on here.

I guess I am the only one here who found the 1st episode thoda bahut interesting. 😆

If we ignore all the facts that are 'unhistorical',the introduction to the show was interesting. I wish ekta had used fictional names of the characters.This is the problem I have with Balaji and Contiloe. When they are showing only fiction, why are they using historical names?This is nothing but cheating and unfortunately they get away with cheating all the time.

Anyways,I have watched most of ekta's shows of early 2000s so I very well know every heroine of her shows are mahaan superwomen who are responsible for everything right in the show.😆

This is just an introductory episode. Let's hope the show gets more interesting later.

You found thoda bahut interesting but I was so excited in first phase then got confused 😆 It made me to open up the history page once again about establish of Nanda dynasty and CGM's birth.But what's the use if they already set the things by their own choice.
@bold I completely agree with that.CAS meet the bad fate only for that cause.I don't mind if Nandini or any other girl was behind CGM to made him great and also in romantic love hate story.But definitely they can't skip CGM's struggle,becoming a brave warrior,Chanakya's guidance and politics.This is what I can expect.This show has good cast except Khallatak as Chanakya but we have to wait to see his act as Chanakya.Also I am sure Rajat will definitely give his best as CGM.But lastly a good script matter most,we learnt it from CAS.

I haven't watched the episode yet. It will air for us in a couple of hours. So that pretty detailed update actually helped. I wouldn't be watching it with unduly high expectations. Aunty you were exhorting us to not be bothered about history while in your own post you expressed your disappointment regarding Mura not being the historical Mura. So may I understand that rules are made to be broken?

Well this Naavik guy means serious business. He could give the present day IVF doctors a serious run for their money. Similarly I appreciate the stamina and absurdity of this Avantika bearing nine or ten odd children without turning even a single hair grey. One pregnancy and delivery are at times enough to ruin your perfect figure and this lady survived through nine or ten? Incredible! Or else Immaculate Conception and Kunti style Instant deliveries existed even in the Mauryan era.

As for this Avantika's illegitimate liaison it does not actually bother me. Because it must have happened down the annals of history. The kings were absentee husbands for most of the married lives of these ladies. Moreover they had huge harems. By the time the number of this queen or wife came, it would take a span of a year or six months. At times they even had the misfortune of having a husband who was twice or thrice their own age.

So what were these ladies in the prime of their youth to do? Sex was a need, a hunger which never got legitimately fulfilled in their lives. So if they took shortcuts to satisfy, I wouldn't blame them as much as I would blame the system which resulted in such perverted means to satisfy a legitimate need. I just wish some extra layers like this are added to this illegitimate relationship of Naavantika(pair name). I would take anything if the story and characters give me a proper justification for it. Once again it was lovely reading this analysis. Thank you for this wonderful analysis but aunty please do take care of your health as well.

Before the episode or your analysis I got to see an excerpt of written update in Facebook that went something like - 'Nandni, who made Chandragupt The Mahaan Chandragupt' and needless to say, my exuberance died even before it began. If I were to watch this serial, I know what's going to come and for me, my tolerance levels had reached their saturation point watching Jodha-made-Akbar and I wasn't quite ready for a version two.

Then I saw your PM, read your take, decided to abide by the two commandments and give a try to this fictional historical 😉

If Facebook excerpt was the first blow, the second one came as Bharat Mata's voice over😲 🤣
Third was the female lead's odd way of trekking up beside Rajat (if anyone had noticed) which only said she's having hard time carrying that attire.😆

And fourth was hefty Nand's blacked tooth. This man and Avantika actually made me believe Love is blind, if not completely, at least partially. Avantika would have stopped by his muscle and didn't care to look up further...

Was that videshi warrior Alexander? Please tell me NO. I've had better image of that Greek warrior in my mind and at this age I can't bear if my impression shatters 😆

Overall the episode, to me, was full to filmy. We got a glimpse of Bhallala-Nand-Deva today and Bahu-Chandra-Bali-Gutpa is on the way for tomorrow. 😆

We already predicted in our old forum that this show will be anything but historical. 😆 No matter how much we prepare ourselves but it cracks us up or irritates us for ruining the history every time there is something nonsense in the show. 😆 CN didn't waste its time. From episode 1 history gaye tel lene. 😆 Not happy to see that CGM is royal by birth.
