Show is going off air due to low trps.
What are the reasons for low trps? Some blame the leap, some blame Ashwaki, some blame Ashvi.

What does the majority think?

First - Arundhati ... your name and siggy are awesome. Arundhati is one of my favorite movies. Love Anushka's acting in that.
Second - it's a combination of reasons, but I voted for post leap tracks not being as good. They had a lot of opportunities to give the audience something interesting. They even brought back Helena from the dead which gave it an interesting twist, but it was ended prematurely with the same old plot. I think they should have made Khondana some other villain from Ashok's past (EDT folks were mentioning that transgender from Taxila track, I forget their name).

They also focused too much on Kaurvaki and Ashok's love story. Having romance in a story is good, especially in a historical fiction like this one, but there was a limit. Each episode wasn't sprinkled in a few love scenes here and there, they were heavily soaked in romance once AshWaki met to the point where everyone and everything was altered to make sure AshWaki stay on top. That meant Dharma, Devi, Vitt, Bindusar, Garud, Virat, Chanda, etc. were all AshWaki shippers and they did everything in their power to make sure they were together, even if it meant bending the rules.

Another point where they faltered was the lack of action scenes. Mohit is a great actor and while it took a decent amount of episodes for him to adapt and set the stage for himself, one thing I enjoyed watching were his fight scenes.

To sum up - no voodoo, black magic, cheating, less romance, lame villains and more character build up, action scenes, and thought-provoking episodes.

Even I love Arundhati. Well I am not from AP but I have watched the dubbed version of the film. Its very good and Anushka is a brilliant actress. Through a expressions itself I can understand what she wants to say.

There was no track other than Ashwaki milan, love and shaadi. Rest was just fillers. If it was the other way maybe the show wouldn't have lost the viewers.

Pre leap it was political. Yes dragging was there but the best thing was there was limited romance even after the introduction of Kaurwaki. Even then the show suffered. The CVs should have understood that audience is not loving the love track. But it was slightly improved when the focus shifted to Pataliputra. With the introduction of leap, audience had huge expectations. They wanted to see the journey of Ashoka to Ashoka The Great. But the show revolved around the couple showing Amar prem gatha sidelining the real story. All the tracks were about Ashwaki...in one way or the other. The CVs forgot that this Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. Audience waited for the tracks to improve. Then we had the epic Swayamvadu competition. What's the purpose of that track ??? Result TRP's decreased. Complete wastage of the talent of the show. No tracks were properly finished. And more fictional characters were introduced without even completing the previous tracks. And the important thing is butchering of characters...in the worst possible way.
This show is an example and reiterates the fact that "Excess of anything is injurious"

I guess it's combination of first 2 options.
I agree Fans had got used to watching Sid as Ashok. Few of them didn't want someone else as Ashok, not even Mohit and that did affect the trps.I remember the trps of first few weeks after leap had decreased.

And then when Ashwaki hide n seek track started, even mohit fans like me lost hope and stopped watching the show.

But then the wrestling track started and the trps increased again.Viewers thought that now they will see Ashoka the Great, his journey to the throne, politics and conspiracies of Sushim and Co.against Ashok.

But what did we get to watch instead? Kaurvaki's obsessive love for ashok,Devi's maniac Ashwaki shipping, Ashok losing focus on ABN mission, unnecessary Swayamvadhu competition, Dharma, Vitt,Bindusar, basically every good person of the show turning into Ashwaki shipper (as if it's a sin to dislike the couple ),Nayak's unnecessary death,Sushim and others getting sidelined, the historical show turning into a love story, etc.,

And the result -TRPs go down and down and down and finally even the channel got fed up and told tata bye bye to the show.

Who's responsible for less trps? The dumb cvs and no one else.
